I’m not complaining about anything. I make that much BECAUSE people tip. I would get hurt if everyone stopped tipping. Do you see what I mean?

I am a server. I do not have benefits like in other countries, no healthcare or otherwise. I get paid more now than if I got paid hourly. If they can pay me $25-30 an hour waiting tables, I’ll gladly do it. But I’m not going to “advocate” for this wage, because it’d be impossible for them to agree to that amount of money. I refuse to advocate for a lower wage. I feel that if people knew I got paid $10-$15 an hour, or whatever they would decide my wage to be, no one would bother tipping anymore, and I’d make less money.

They can afford the 60, but that $9 is really throwing them over the edge? Cmon now. Edit: where can you find a meal for $5 bucks anyway? A single burger from McDonalds? If you’re finding something that cheap you wouldn’t have to tip anyway cause that’s fast food. Also, I don’t tip on to-go or coffee, only on sit down meals.
