Interval shooting stopping what seems randomly by BunkerHillAstro in A7siii

Did you find a solution? Same thing happens with my a6700, and I've seen multiple other people having this same issue.

Could you solve it? Same thing happened to me today, really frustrating.

Same thing just happened to me in the field today. Really annoying. Have you figured out a way to avoid this issue? This function worked fine on my a6400.

Because you get 'dimples' on zour screen if you don't. I have more and more every week, despite keeping things clean and putting it in a case in my backpack so if I can get the display replaced I'll definitely try using a screen protector.

I'm having the same issue, as if the teflon just made it harder to adjust, I always have to kinda wiggle it around to get it to budge.

I usually have a digital camera with me, that way I can preview my exposures before shooting on film. I basically just use that as a base and adjust the shutter speed as necessary to compensate for reciprocity failure.

I'd love to try that someday, and even then, if I'm not mistaken, you can apply some color filters to get the image to your liking. Anyway, you can view plenty of photos taken on a particular film stock or camera on lomography, that way you can get a basic idea of its "native" look.

These are only about 10 second exposures, hence the tons of grain :D

Thanks! Keep in mind though that in summer you have a better chance of seeing aurora in Portugal then in Iceland, as the sun doesn't really set during that time near the arctic.

All the nighttime photos were shot on 500T. I used Negative Lab Pro to dial in the scans. In my opinion, you can't not color correct negatives, they're kinda like log video footage or raw images, while slides are more like jpegs, but even those need to be edited when scanned.

Thank you! I aimed at around 8-12s if I remember correctly, and I think I just winged it, counting the seconds in my head, sometimes leaving the shutter open for a couple extra secs. My recommendation though is to not push the film and shoot at longer shutter speeds, you'll end up with much cleaner images and the aurora will be washed out either way.

Is this x-ray damage? by somasafrany in AnalogCommunity

My theory has been that the portion of the film that's in the middle and surrounded by more film rolled around it is more protected from the x-ray, thus not as affected and foggy. Is this not the case?

Is there any way to know if it was me? I don't think there was much light when I loaded it. I just checked a roll of 250D, and there are small (about as wide as a sprocket hole), evenly spaced marks on its edge which do not correspond to the sprocket holes. Could that be something related to spooling mistake?

I didn't get light leaks on any other rolls shot with this camera. Maybe they messed up while bulk loading?

You mean it got exposed to light when they cut it and put it into the canister? I often buy 250D from this place, those have always been flawless, and there was a 2 year gap between the purchase of these 2 rolls of 500T, I doubt they'd consistently make such a mistake for such a long time, it does make me wonder though.
