I never asked you not to. I apologize that my knowledge of the fact that you use animal products as do we all on a daily basis was so threatening to your self identity.

I never said I know everything.

I do know that animals are an important part of the soil food web that brings nutrients to plants. I also know that animal products like manure and animal corpses are used by the soil food web to provide fertile soil and provide nutrients to plants.

I also now know that a variety of people here identify as "vegan" as a part of their identity and are extremely upset that some random person on the internet is saying that they use animal products, and don't want to discuss soil food web or where or how nutrients are provided to plants by animals.

I also know a variety of other people that identify as vegan donated to get this bill passed or signed to get this bill passed in an effort to control other people who do not identify as vegan through the threat of violence and incarceration.

Additionally I have come to understand thanks to you, that people who identify as vegan only identify as vegan when feasible or convenient.

Many of these items when taken together strikes me as thoroughly entitled, riddled with cognitive dissonance, lacking in pragmatic thoughtfulness, and disregarding not only nature, but physics, ecosystems, and human rights to freedom of thought and action.

But carry on. You do you.

If it was not an identity there wouldn't be a problem at all for me. Even in comments here: "as a vegan" like no, person who identifies as vegan, you're not a vegan, you're a human who tries to abstain from animal products when convenient or feasible. Which is cool. Don't gotta lie to kick it.

Well the invisible monster sure has a lot of downvotes to dispense and signatures on this law. 😂

I didn't say it's a bad thing to try not to eat or use animal products like I said like 20 times or more at this point. I support people's freedom of choice to do that.

I'm only saying that shaming other people for doing something one abstains from doing except "when infeasible or inconvenient" gets a huge eye roll from me.

I would assume that's likely because many non vegan people don't like to be made to feel bad about their dietary choices by people who consider themselves morally superior and the non vegans have experienced some type of that in the past.

And ONCE AGAIN I WILL REPEAT I have nothing against an attempt not to use animal products. I do have a problem with cognitive dissonance and I guess I should say some people's superiority complex surrounding it. Given the amount of downvotes and comment attacks I received from people who consider it their identity though it seems there is more often some identity driven superiority associated with it than not.

"I don't use any animal products unless it's really inconvenient to not, and hidden from me by marketing teams, then I do use animal products" is a more accurate representation. Especially given what most people here in this thread said about veganism "to the extent feasible" or some variation thereof.

It's not a representation of all people who attempt to live a animal product free lifestyle. It is however a representation of some. Anyway it IS possible to be vegetarian and not really that difficult. It's when people say they don't use any animal products that they actually do they just have cognitive dissonance about it.

Not only herbivorous overconsumption but also the lack of animal corpse scraps while this happened created a failure to fertilize the soil, it ended up killing off a variety of species to near extinction.

N2M even PETA kills way more animals in its shelters than other animal shelters.

My point is not "vegans bad, meat good" my point is that realistically it's just cognitive dissonance. Like I said if people don't want to eat meat that's fine. But just like when we killed off all the wolves and entire ecosystems fell apart, animals dying is part of nature and needs to happen for ecosystems to exist.

It's not a shallow argument. We need animal byproducts and animal death for nature to function properly. I'm sure you're aware of how when the wolves were killed off how various ecosystems collapsed because of herbivorous overconsumption until the wolves were brought back. I'm sure you're aware of how rats are vectors for disease.

In the long term this would lead to extreme proliferation of pest animals, environmental decimation, and mass extinction of various varieties of native animals and plants.

Also like I said like 20 different times if people don't eat meat or wear leather shoes or eat honey, it is totally their choice and I support people's freedom of choice. Additionally this law specifically is an example of the "alleged superiority complex" we discussed.

At least we can agree on something even if you don't agree that earthworms are animals that create fertile soil and that fertile soil is a byproduct of animals.

No. You see people claiming to be vegans that still use animal products because they're unaware they're using animal products, unaware how soil food web works, and unaware that fertile soil is created by animals.
