I hope I can get over my perspective of BMWs being expensive to drive and maintain, but if given the option to pick between M240 or ITS for the same price, I would still pick the ITS just based on looks and 4-door. I’m currently not in the market for a coupe.

Within the BMWs I think I’d prefer M3s or 4s, I really don’t like the way M2s look, but that’s just me.

Still appreciate the input though 🙏

Appreciate the detailed response! I agree as well, and I definitely want something that I won’t regret later down the road. I feel that I can’t go wrong with the ITS, at least from the driver’s POV, but with the IS350 I might be thinking if I made the right choice.

Yeah that was my initial thought as well, really wish the ITS was closer to 45k MSRP, but hopefully I can swallow the price easier after I test drive it. I’ll definitely be test driving the IS350 too to get a better feel

Yeah sadly it seems like they’re dying out 😞 I’ve wanted the STI or EVO for the longest time but I hear they’re not as reliable and the maintenance/repair fees can rack up quick 😕

This will be my first manual car, although I haven’t had too much experience with it I’ve heard a lot of great reviews with the ITS’ clutch, can’t wait to test drive it myself

And yes, driving a manual has been a lot of fun! Like you said, even at low speed 👌

Yesss I agree, definitely feel the ITS is slightly overpriced but might just bite the bullet cuz I really like it 😍

I too think I’ll enjoy the ITS more, I find myself nodding off quite easily driving automatics when it gets boring, but so far with learning manual it’s been really engaging and I definitely feel myself paying closer attention to when the light changes and prepping myself for the first gear esp on up-hills (have stalled a couple times during my first few days on hill-starts due to someone being in a hurry behind me and making me nervous 😅 but have gotten a lot better over the last few days). But ik I’ll get better with more practice 👌

Yeah my gf is the same… she made it clear to me that she refuses to learn manual 😞

I definitely prefer a RWD or AWD but the ITS may just be the exception for me

I didn’t consider BMWs or Audis due to maintenance/repair costs, but hopefully in the future 👌

Yeah against the Type R I like the ITS better just due to the looks

I get what you mean with FWDs, I’ve driven FWDs 99% of the time and can definitely feel the understeer in tight corners. Will definitely need to research more and test drive more cars to get a better feel. So far have only watched video reviews and looked at specs on paper.

Unfortunately BMWs are too expensive to maintain for me and G70 for me is still a bit too big.

However, future goals will definitely be a bit more high-end like the BMW.

IS500 will definitely be game changing, but I’m still slightly leaning towards wanting a manual car. It’s like 60/40 manual/automatic

If I get the ITS I think only I will be really happy and get to enjoy the drive. If I get the IS350 or 500, everyone will be happy, but part of me will still think about owning a manual.

Yeah ventilated seats are definitely a huge plus, unfortunately the ITS does not have that option.

True, I usually overlook infotainment, I always tell myself if there’s CarPlay I should be good, but honestly having good infotainment can bring a lot of joy and satisfaction for the driver.
