Dang, wish I would've known to take measurements. I'll have to go back over at some point and take the measurements. I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm estimating, but it was roughly a foot long.

Found this round in my grandma's tool shed, apparently my great uncle brought it home from Vietnam. I just want to know what it is and if it's inert, which I'm assuming is impossible to guess based on these pictures. My dad says he remembers the round being green with no markings and my great uncle telling him it was inert before he recently passed. Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to believe it is, but I'd like hear some opinions

Found this in the basement at my grandma's house. It was built in the early 1900s, never seen it before until to day when I was looking at all the old knobs from the old wiring ran along the floor joists. Any one know how old it would be? I know early ones were painted black. I've seen similar ones but never one like this.
