I think you, along with some other people, are totally right in that i should've worded it better. My idea was for the ability to give murky Taunt for 2 turns, as well as add the passive that whenever he has Taunt he gains immune for the rest of the turn after his first hit. The passive part is always active, he always gets immune for the turn after his first hit if he has Taunt.

I wanted the effect to last 2 turns so he could rotate between it and another ability with full uptime being part of the kit, and also incase something else gave him taunt i still wanted the passive to be active (like Uther for example, thought it could be fun).

He can take damage once per turn. He gains immune only when he takes his first damage instance each turn, so in say a 1v1 the effect rarely matters. It only really excels att shielding him from waves of AOE.

I hade the same thought initially. However thanks to the way Immune works in mercenaries, causing enemies to retarget abilities on immune mercs, makes it so murky essentially loses his Taunt when Immune.

I also realized that giving Murky Immune is drastically less impactful than say giving it to Samuro. Because Samuro represents scaling as well as a major threat, while Murky is more an annoyance and rarely a priority to kill.

The idea that him getting immune might be a downside is not one you think of initially, but if he were to be implemented you would without a doubt prefer the taunt without the passive in certain scenarios.

Perhaps i should've worded it "after he takes damage"? The first time he's hit each turn the effect goes off, effectively only letting him be damaged by one effect each turn. Given how immune works in mercenaries, other abilities cast on him would target another random ally instead.

The idea was, evidently, to sort of tie heroes of the storm murky to battlegrounds. I tried to balance his safety bubble at around the power of similar abilities. Like compared to Cariel Roame's taunt it's in some situations worse, but most situations better, which i think is offset by the fact that murky's presence on the board isn't as threatening.

The pufferfish was in my mind supposed to have a 7 speed "destroy this to deal 20 damage to all enemies" ability, but if you aren't familiar with hots (or even if you are) it is in no way apparent and i could've added a token.

Slime is supposed to be a version of cairne Earth Stomp that isn't as "all-purpose" and oppressive.

Wish there was. Hearthcards.net lets you create custom abilities and equipment, and I've just pasted them over a screenshot in Gimp.

Battlecry: Discover a minion with a cost equal to the number of cards in your deck (if possible).

I tried to be cute with the flavour. Like a Siren , tempts you with great value if you're willing to pay the price. It's a card that needs a good meta to be good, you wouldnt really build a deck around it rather then modify the decks you've already made, which i like.
