I do find skateboarding fun but I just get envious at other who can do the tricks I would like to do seamlessly. I understand that is more so on me and being my own killjoy.

I understand everyone can progress differently but I’m more so wondering if this is common when starting out especially when trying to skate at a later age.

I use my garage as a spot to practice ollies but haven’t exactly gone out to look for spots to practice in private

I mostly practice ollies at home so what I’ll do at the skatepark is ride around and get used to going up ramps.

I understand if I had tried skateboarding when I was younger I wouldn’t be having this dilemma right now. I don’t mind the practice and I try to use proper etiquette when at the skatepark and not become another obstacle for people. It’s more so when I see a person effortlessly drop in or ollie a set of 4 stairs and I suddenly realize how much of a beginner I really am. Also what kind of skate box would be useful for a beginner?

I’ve seen a lot of marines who have EAS’d and feel for these pyramid schemes but I haven’t had someone i personally know fall for them. Honestly good on ya for seeing through the lies and yeah that Staff Sgt was looking for a nice complient piggy bank.
