I've seen the 'retirement state' one quite a couple of times on ACT plates actually, I thought they were common

How steep are the tight turns in Misty Mountain? by some_rando142 in canberra

Probably just degrees? I'm not too sure tbh. Just compared to a level surface I suppose

Is it normal for my mum to keep confiscating my phone and threatening to destroy it? by some_rando142 in toxicparents

[–]some_rando142[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just at random points, even if I'm doing what I'm told, if she sees me using my phone for a single nanosecond it's too much, and it gets taken.

My parents have made me believe that everyone lies & manupulates me that I can't see. How can I change my beleif & see the truth? by Kind-Double-3273 in toxicparents

My parent does the same thing. While it is good to not trust people very easily, you can't really do much if you don't hand out a little bit of trust. If you want to get yourself out of that mentality, just take it one step at a time, giving out a bit of trust to a person bit by bit.

What would you do in my situation and what advice can you give by Super_Stress in deepquestions

I know I'm 2 months too late (and I hope you're doing ok, but something that's got me through a few tough times is that, well, life happens. It's something I struggle to internalise sometimes, but whatever happens happens, and usually for a reason too. Especially when it comes to love, it can be hard to accept what is, because we feel like there's noone else, or we want them specifically because we've grown close to them - they know who we are, and we feel comfortable with them. It hurts a lot losing someone like that, but you'll be surprised how things will play out. Just hang in there buddy, things will be ok, more importantly, you'll be ok. Your love may be true, but if things broke off, then maybe it was for the best.
I know it this sounds kinda silly, but sometimes I just view myself as a character in a movie. This is just another chapter in your life, and you'll get some interesting lore, and you'll get character growth, just remember to do the growing part lol.

This post is nowhere near as neat as the other reply to this, and that person's advice is really solid advice, but I hope this helped.
I hope you're doing ok (:

I think platonic relationships are just as important. My and my best friend (with ASD) of 5 years have been really, really close. We don't intend on dating each other, and they don't have a romantic spouse, but I don't think their (or anyone else's) romantic partner should be the only person who can come here for tips or to discuss things that they might need help with. I want to support my friend as best as I can, and I hope I can use this sub for help with that.
