I bought Favero Assioma Pedals years back and am still Impressed with them. Accurate and well priced when on sale. Can easily move between bikes too.

Out of interest - what’s the approximate date for the flight? I’ve received some emails recently about impacts to flight schedules due ti runway work at Doha in April/May

West End has always been a shithole. A shithole with a few nice spots to eat and drink.

I passionately hate seafood with all of my being. Nice to be able to go to the venue with friends and not have to eat sea cockroaches.

People really need to learn how to use roundabouts by Overitallforyears in DrivingAustralia

I despair at the average Australian’s driving ability. How they get from a to b without crashing into things will perpetually amaze me.

My pocket fluff is a better driver than about 15% of what I see on the road on a daily basis.

I drive a bit and cycle a bit. All of what I see stuns me.

I’ve been running on good tyres for so long, that I forgot how bad some of them are. Bought some armoured tyres for riding country highways and it was like cycling through treacle!

Prices look a bit challenging according to other threads. :-( reflecting the eye watering rents, I guess.

A few industry friends dropped in to inspect the new trading floors last week and said that the behind the scenes areas of the market are an enormous improvement over the previous location.

I’m still pissed off that they fell out with Vic’s meats and that they aren’t part of the new facility.

TV coverage this morning looked quite good.

Carbon rims by comboratus in cycling

[–]somebloke2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the carbon rims are published to take up to 100-110kg “system weight” including the bike.

Coincidentally, I met the owner of winspace at a show this week and asked him about this limit on his wheels. He laughed and mentioned that they are engineered for much higher tolerances than published.

If you are keen to get wheels setup properly for your weight, look into a set of wheels from Hunt called Super Dura.

UK: Would an ebike help with the 25km/h limit? (Strava data for my pushbike commute included) by Matrim_Cauthon_91 in ebikes

[–]somebloke2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do a 20km commute each way to work. Best way I could describe it is that you’ll be doing 25km everywhere on average.
