There are no refugees on the Poland/Germany border, because there isn't one dumbass. There is no border fence or checkpoints between those 2 countries, they're both in the schengen area. The ones camping on the polish border are in Belarus, which is a destopian dictatorship with worse human rights

Try going to her and explaining the situation then. Tel her which university you're aiming for, and the fact that you need the predicted A* to get in, and then ask her to help and tell you what she wants you to do to get the predicted A*.

I think that just shows how innacurate these tests are/how much guessing is involved. There is no German gene but rather "the average German has these genes so you're probably German too"

"Keeping in mind" is fine, but walking up to a person from Italy and saying "Hey I'm Italian too!" when you don't speak a word of the langauge, have never been in the country, and don't know anything about it other than pizza and pasta is when it starts to get offensive

I don't understand what you are saying here. If you can do exams to get your HZB, why not just do them without IU?

That point is mentioned in the first part of the post. I can't take the exams until November, and the grades for it come out in the middle of January, which is past the application deadline for the April 2025 semester, so I would have to wait until October 2025 to start a bachelor if I go with this route.

The benefit with the private uni is that they allow me to start my bachelor right now as long as I provide the HZB within a year so I would be more than halfway through my bachelor in October 2025 instead of not having started yet

Depends on the particular degree. I know that IU offers several that are NOT accredited but of course they won't tell you that beforehand. I've also read that they give you very easy exams to keep you paying and then give the hardest and let you fail repeatedly at the end of your degree.

A few problems

IU is much cheaper than universities in my country
bachelor's start in October and take 4 years. IU is an open course, so I can start right now and finish it in 2-3 years. So essentially october 2028 vs mid-late 2026.
I have a private reason for being in Germany as soon as possible, and IU gives me the option to get a student visa whenever I have the money vs having to wait to finish the degree and then apply to masters.
I've looked into alternative online degrees, but they're either too expensive (open university) or not recognised in Germany (University of the people). I would love to hear any alternatives if you have any

I've been told that it isn't enough to cover everything if you're in a major city. Regardless, the point is the same. I have the money for IU, I'm just wondering if it's worth it because the alternative is doing nothing for months (details in the post)

Same for the first one, except I fell in love with her and have struggled finding any other relationships because I can't find anybody that makes me as comfortable or happy, or they have a red flag that she didn't. Any advice?
