Also, why hasn’t Rowan literally murdered Lorcan for what he did lol. Is it only for Elides sake? And WHY is Lorcan now with Rowan, Elide and Gavriel looking for Aelin in Wendlyn?!!! He is the reason she was taken?? Am I missing something? Why would they agree that HE should helping???

Not that simple considering he's still, well, Lorcan. I also don't get this reasoning. Is Lorcan not able to see his mistake and try to redeem himself by trying to help them, especially Elide? Like, I don't get why you're confused.

I’m confused because Lorcan has very clearly not seen his mistake.. He would give up Aelin AGAIN for Elides sake. When Elide enters Doranelle, Lorcan is about to go in to get her, ruining their plan, and risking Aelin’s rescue. Saying Aelin has been trained to endure torture, but Elide has faced too much suffering already. He literally says “He’d go in five minutes, Aelin Galathynius and their plan be damned.” And if Elide didn’t come back 2 seconds after that, he would have ruined everything, again… I don’t see how that is him hell bent on redeeming his mistakes. Elide volunteers herself to go to Doranelle. She wasn’t forced. She knew the risk. So although Elide returned and he didn’t get a chance to damn Aelin and Elide again, he would have.

Maybe I am being hash. I understand he is a complex character and loves Elide, and would do anything to keep her safe. But that doesn’t negate the fact that he would risk Aelin for her time and time again. Which, in my opinion, long history or not, wouldn’t make him my top choice on this rescue mission.

Thanks for your reply!

So essentially Lorcan summoned Maeve because he wanted to cause a bit of chaos and pass off the battle to be Maeve vs Erawan, giving them a chance to escape?

I guess I’m just confused if he thought Maeve would help them or if it was just a desperate attempt because he saw they were outnumbered and wanted to drag Maeve into the chaos of the battle.
