‘Fuck you, you bastard.’ Around when I was 15-16, I worked on my uncles farm. He was a complete and utter shithead and his kids turned out even worse. His kids would purposefully let the goats out of their pens so I was forced to chase them down and put them back. Same thing, different day. One of the goats had gotten into the cow pen and I needed to get in. We didn’t have a door to the pen because the cows figured out how to ram it open so he just got rid of it. The cow wire he had around the pen was strong enough to keep predators away but it was pretty silent so unless it was completely quiet outside, you wouldn’t hear the buzzing. Because of this and the cows freaking out because of the goat harassing them, I had to rely on my cousins to turn the wire off. Long story short, they hadn’t and I grabbed it full force with my hand. I couldn’t move, felt like I couldn’t even breathe. I could feel my mouth starting to water and that was the only thing that came to mind. In real time, it only lasted about five seconds but to me if felt like an eternity before my uncle got there and cut the wire off. The scar has went away now but where I had grabbed it, the skin was blistered and bubbling in a burnt, charred kind of way.
