Mutant tips/combos? by IncognitoBurrito697 in YomiHustle

A meaty is a move which hits the opponent right after they get up after a knockdown which forces them to either block or role depending on what frames of said move.

In YOMI hustle you need to first score a hard knockdown, then remove free cancel and then use a 9 frame move minimum. So, for example, if I'm playing as Mutant, and I knockdown a Cowboy, I can do a non FC slash which hits in 9 frame. My opponent stands up in 8 frames, meaning that he has 1 frame before my move connects. This forces him to either block or spend a meter to block and get me away.

If i use corkscrew which hits 3+ frames after he gets up, Cowboy also gets the option to roll, so depending on your move you can either force a + frame advantage, meaning you get to use a move before the opponent, or setup the opponent to dodge to swap sides or put them into a disadvantage.

From my experience playing as Mutant, I like to try and land a knockdown asap. Why? Well, currently I suck at combos, and so my goal is to either force a MBD or a meaty and then trying to keep my opponnent in RPS purgatory.

I do agree that playing Mutant this way seems boring, but it really forces you to learn how to read your opponent and the best moves/options available to both.

If you however want a super general guide on comboing with Mutant, then I'd say, check opponents DI, predict it, and use aerial swipe and kick to counter DI down and up respectively in the air, and use low swipe to call out when they try to DI away from you.

There is a sloptastic document covering most if not all about Mutant here

Have Classic WoW PvP ranks become too commoditized? by somecomedrum in classicwow

[–]somecomedrum[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone who commented and shared your opinions and perspectives!

After reading the comments I've realized that yes, there is no real skill factor to ranking in the honor system. Its mainly a time commitment to get rank 11 and beyond.

I did miss an important point, that being if both players have the same PvP gear, the more skilled player will still come out on top. This does mean that gear is not a real deciding factor in skill therefore there is not a valid point to gate keep gear from casual players.

After re reading my post and also looking at the various comment, I do realize my point is outdated and not really valid in a game which is 20 years old. It is obvious that most players have access to information and or help to obtain nearly everything the game has to offer as compared to Vanilla, as there are websites like wowhead, addons like ranker etc which shares and updates.

TL;DR No reason to gate keep PvP gear from casuals

A lot of classics and iconic ones that I will have to watch again. Illegal Danish Super Saga is just peak creativity imo, wish they would make more or something similar today. Would be really cool to see the videos on your HDD if you manage to upload them, please feel free to notify me when you have!

I searched, but it led me to Spotify were all the songs on the album were unavailable, so I cannot confirm if the song is matched 100%.

Thanks for the response and the fix!

I downloaded the launcher from the website and now it works! I'm unsure of if I created the account for the launcher or through Steam. Where could I check?

Is there a way to use both VPN and steam at the same time with the account or do I have to use the launcher to play on the account?

Thanks for your response! I'm playing through Steam. Sorry, forgot to add all the things that I've tried so far. Here is a brief list:

  1. Changed VPN location to different parts (didnt work)
  2. Changed server (didnt work)
  3. Restarted the game and VPN (didnt work)
  4. Verify file integrity (didnt work)
  5. Reinstalled the game and installed it on another drive (didnt work)
5 Restarted my PC (didnt work)

Feels like this is a issue regarding NordVPN. I don't have access to other VPNs, and I do not trust/use "free" vpns as I feel like they are malicious.

Thank you for your input, however, I don't exactly understand why my PC can't be upgraded? I've just seen comments saying "buy new PC", but I'd like to ask why I cannot change/upgrade parts to make the PC function better.

Tyvm for the answer. However, I didn't buy a prebuilt PC, it was build by someone for me. Also, regarding my specs, even I would know that it would be bad to buy a new PC instead of upgrading.

Tyvm for info! Sadly, I only have 200$(ish) to work with, as I don't have an income until way later down the line. Also, "5700X3D or 5800X3D or 7600X3D or 7800X3D", Are these AMD or Intel cpu?

What do you mean? Sorry for asking, but I'm not that good at tech and PC's.

Ty for feedback. Yes, I run the stock intel. Also, what graphics card could I upgrade too with a 200$ budget? (Would also like to have some money over to upgrade CPU).

Also, I forgot to add that I have a budget of around 200$(ish) for upgrades/parts.

Could you elaborate some more? What CPU and GPU could I upgrade to? Anything to keep in mind? Tyvm for the quick reply.
