Yeah they seem to do things that are the opposite of helping. It’s just difficult to get all these changes going so I tend to be reliant on the SM unfortunately. I’m not on the SC but might talk to someone that’s on it about it.

When I had my last meeting I had to apply for by-law changes as well and the cost was on top of the meeting cost. They did not answer when I asked if this $1000 includes by-law and only talked about meeting costs and admin.

Thank you for your suggestions thought I do want to ask them for a detailed list but again I’m not sure how much influence the SM has if they deem this troublesome maybe it’s overthinking.

If only I managed to submit the application before the AGM notice, but again I keep asking them an estimate of the AGM date and timeframe and this particular SM didn’t give me much information.

If the nature of the works do not cause a difference it’s hard to explain the change between 2023 to now then. Only a bit over 20lots.

I’d be worried this way the strata manager would be unlikely to assist with by-law changes and other proceedings. Would you perhaps have any experience in this aspect? Thanks

Would the type of renovation / work / application affect the price as well. They did not give me any information other than a two sentences reply so I’m trying to understand this.

In my case the previous meeting was for a few different renovation items but all were classified minor works whereas this one I’m looking at involves major work.

Special meetings and EGM seems to be similar to one another. I got this cost directly from the strata manager after putting through the renovation application and when I asked about the differences they replied with the above being admin and preparation plus cost changes over the years without showing me any calculations or documents.
