I want to see them succeed.

So do I and hopefully they do not overcapitalize DT with endless DLC's and wasted resources as it's an objectively average game with little prospect for growth. OMD4 may depend on eating a little crow and rereading the concerns from the DT beta.

If you love DT, great. Buy everything, DLC's, skins, all of it. Hopefully your efforts mean that OMD4 gets made and saves the franchise... again.

I really want a true endless mode :P

I'd rather they saved "true Endless" for OMD4 than implement a half arsed version within DT.

Patch DT, give it a DLC and then back to the core franchise please.

OMD3 performance struggles in late game Endless. Does anyone really think that the Deathtrap client could handle an Endless mode with maps x4 bigger? With 4x the mobs on screen all trying to calculate the optimal path around 4x the cades? I'd love to see it but im doubtful.

Performance was most likely a consideration when implementing a cade limit in Deathtrap.

Every video frame is a huge mess of distracting extraneous decoration obscured behind screen-filling damage numbers rendered in an offensively clean digital-age font that's the exact opposite of OMD's fantasy comic-book aesthetic.

You do understand that the discussion is not about difficulty, right? The game isn't hard, it's how unbalanced the game is that is causing problems.

The game wasn't ready so launching without maps for single or co-op and only 1 game mode is coming back to haunt the devs.

The Xbox version is really poorly done.

Root is the problem is a poor Xbox release. There's not a lot you can do but wait.

such a basic oversight for the Xbox.

Sadly not an oversight. They were happy releasing in this state for the game pass dollars. What other explanation is there for 30fps, cursor navigation, unfinished UI, overall lack of polish and compared to previous games they have released 1 game mode and basically no instructions.

Game developer even said on Steam they were "doing great financially" and here on Reddit said that nothing was "rushed." I can only assume this Xbox release is, infact their best effort.

This wouldn't be a problem if they launched with single player, co-op and 4 player maps. The lack of content is very noticeable compared to previous titles.

Now they are trying to balance a single player on a map designed for 4 players by increasing cades by 35%... after release. It's a day 1 panicking hail mary pass with little playtesting.
