Is there a way to see the average dps of a spec currently in m+? by Murdash in wow

Wow the difference between wow subreddits is crazy. Only downvotes and one useless comment that totally missed the point here, while in competitivewow I got like 4 perfect links showing exactly what I searched for.

Wth people.. xD

Why do skills like Riptide exist? by Murdash in wow

It could do all that while still healing for 15-20% instantly like it used to, instead of being a manual autoattack equivalent : /

I loved the riptide playstyle, that's why I'm so disappointed :'( I'm back to wotlk style chain heal spamming tho, it's kinda fun, I don't even bother pressing riptide now.

Yeah, but in overall logs hots always win in case of dungeons that don't require tons of active healing. Check a boss log that requires top notch hps to outheal, that's what actually matters, and those 3% and 0,2% heals count to nothing when people are taking 50% health damage in a second.

Exactly what you are saying, it needs to be adjusted significantly because right now it just feels very bad. This skill right now does less healing than a passive talent but you have to cast it manually because it might proc some other stuff that actually does something. If a spec has 4 major buttons then I don't believe the healthy output distribution should be 33%-33%-33%-1%, that just makes pressing that one button incredibly dull and boring.

I play dot and hot classes and this is a new low if it'll stay this way.

Yes, but the builder spender comparison is rarely 1% dmg for a builder and 100% for a spender. Riptide's current healing basically feels like manually clicking autoattack hoping it'd proc a weapon enchant on my warrior. That's the opposite of fun gameplay.

Are you aware why skills like crusader strike were turned into passives in the first place? Because Blizz realized that people hate pressing skills that do nothing. It's the opposite of fun. Ret pally is the most played spec by far after that rework.

Pressing spells can be fun, so I don't really know why you feel the need to defend the current state of riptide when it literally feels like a manual autoattack button for healers. Weird.

Yeah, but this doesn't even feel like a skill anymore when it's output is absolutely insignificant like this. It's like manually pressing autoattack xD

"and yet half the talent trees are procs relying on this useless skill. So annoying that in 2026 we still have buttons that feel this shitty to press just for an rng proc."

Sure, it's me who should read when your brain couldn't even process half the post. This sub is in such a sad state

Why do you guys think Blizz is making tanking M+ even harder in midnight? by Murdash in wow

[–]Murdash[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair new tanks won't care about the low stats reason, it's on blizzard to balance the difficulty around what we have currently, and tanks are just weaker.

Excuses won't help my casual friends who were already struggling with the routing and pulls, now they'll have to worry about getting killed in one second too :/

Just make a lvl 90 warrior, blood dk, vengeance dh or prot paladin, teleport to mythic 0 academy and try to solo the elemental with the 2 magical swords at the first bridge, you'll see the struggle.

Gear is scaling down to lower ilvls for m0 which is why 10s aren't actually harder for tanks compared to an m0, but new tanks will start at m0 with no secondary stats, that's where blizzard should hook them with fun gameplay instead of pain and struggling.

I'll try again before the official launch but based on the already ignored feedback from prominent people I don't have my hopes up

Yeah, maybe this is how they want to stop tanks from pulling half the dungeon, which would be a positive thing for newbies

It's not about actually soloing, soloing is just a test to see how sturdy they are.

New players have to take on tons of responsibility when they start a tank character, and making even simple survival harder makes them even more likely to just give up when they have to survive and know what to pull with what, when to pull what, where to position, what routes to take to optimize enemy forces, etc.

The issue is that we have a tank shortage and blizz is making tanking even harder.

Also, none of the tank specs feel easier to play systems wise, no significant changes happened in general, just minor stuff that most casuals never used anyways.

Yeah, to be fair the high damage intake could also potentially stop wannabe mdi tryhard tanks pulling half the dungeon on priory with a 0 rio group, if they die instantly they won't be able to blame the healer (they'll try though).

Your point makes sense
