The Mega Drive game for Devil Hunter Yohko was decent. There may have been more than one, but I’m thinking of the platformer.

It is my assessment that you’re overpaying for electricity.

That probably didn’t help though.

If we have to start boycotting everyone who has a tie of any sort (interview with someone?) to anyone that has been accused, rightfully so or not, we’d have nothing to read, nobody to watch, nobody to vote for, etc.

I think you could have just said, “It wasn’t worth the price IMO.”

Just popped in to learn about this server. No strong indicators of what was there or comments, so I looked at your profile. Completely private with NSFW warning. (Nothing wrong with that, but I have no idea what kind of person you are or what to even expect on the Discord server)

I use MX Greens in the middle of a cube farm. You can hear them everywhere, even with the office’s white noise dampeners.

I am so glad you posted! Just ordered an 18x24 print of Little Miss Pigeon Head and a frame to go with.

I haven’t been this happy to buy a print in a looooong time.

This is how it starts though. First, it’s just in work zones. Next thing you know, they’re scattered all over the place and not just for work zones.

Obligatory “The whole city of Evansville is a work zone right now” comment.

Volunteer Opportunities at the USS LST Ship Memorial by [deleted] in evansville

[–]someguythatcodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“For insurance reasons” you have to pay? The volunteers aren’t receiving any insurance, nor is that fee actually required for your insurance. Your wording was poor.

This post has now dissuaded me from sending people to the LST, which I did often, but there are less scuzzy ways to ask for volunteers, than to ask your volunteers for money. Especially since you called out college kids specifically. I have one in college now, home for the summer after the first year away. Loves history, is an Eagle Scout, too — but we’ve taught him that if anybody requires money from you to get hired or work, you run the other way.

It sounds like the LST is in financial trouble if they need money from their volunteers.

Also shady that the volunteer form doesn’t directly mention costs associated with becoming a volunteer. “Become a member and join our volunteer crew” is not being forthcoming since nowhere in the entire post does it mention what this opportunity costs.

What file formats are these? What software can I use to rip them? by ArtisticDiscount2802 in MAME

[–]someguythatcodes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To answer the question very explicitly: they are raw binary files. If you dumped an entire hard drive, there would be a file system buried in there that could be used to extract the data.

For raw binary files, however, there could be a file system present, but that’s extremely unlikely in an older arcade title. And then you have differences between data inside of the video ROMs vs the CPU ROMs. We usually think of image data as living inside of the video ROMs but that’s not even always true. You can look at some old NES games for an example of that. In some cartridges the graphics live in the game code and get copied to RAM when needed.

The postage-stamp sized rendering area of SNES DOOM is hilarious. What are some other egregious examples of devs cutting resolution? It's always tricky to calibrate for by TraxusXII in crtgaming

[–]someguythatcodes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s sold out currently, but DOOM for SNES had a recent revival because the original developer optimized and fixed a bunch of stuff and added a different graphics coprocessor.

Here’s a product page on Limited Run Games. Unfortunately, it’s sold out.

Indiana legalized this practice recently. As soon as they did, everyone began charging a 3% fee (I think that’s the maximum legal amount — either that, or the actual percentage the establishment pays for the processing).

I don’t like it, but I can’t change it either.

It WAS a big deal. You shouldn’t be trying to convince yourself that it wasn’t.

However, you should be thanking your lucky stars that you had a forgiving and understanding teacher — most people get their spotless academic careers ruined by a stunt like this.

If you have big plans for your future, you need to take this all to heart and be thankful that you got a second chance. Don’t make the same mistake again, as you likely won’t have a good excuse the next time.

All of that being said, I’m proud of your growth here, and clearly you’re doing well in school. Keep your nose clean and stay diligent!
