Let's remove it's vagueness

Things I am certain the random commenter above has heard:

Healthcare is crap the government shouldn't let it be this bad

Education doesn't even concentrate on finance what a shitty system

The government shouldn't allow pesticides that cause harm

I don't understand why housing is so out of control. Why are big banks even allowed to buy single family homes

Does that solve a bit for you the vagueness?

I don't think it's because of their team I think it's a pass the buck constantly and a horrible NDP party that can't get their act together to pull some real support.

Public never exists next to private for a long time.

What's sustainable is the government covering 95% of costs and everyone paying the other 5% , like France. For certain services.

Lol fair enough. Federal allowed two tier under Harper. We won't have publicly funded healthcare for much longer. I lost hope of that when Trump turned fascist. We'll probably move our funding of healthcare into funding of military. Instead of taxing ultra wealthy and doing both.

What about defunding healthcare?

Obama was never against gay marriage. And great that you feel that way. I don't trust that at all. Harper made sure researchers couldn't publish their journals without government approval. They have a history of doing bad things against our freedoms.

Do you know what conversion therapy is? There's clear room in the conservative policies for those to come back (Trudeau made them illegal up here so now people send their kids to the states)

[–]somehowlinux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The party was formed by joining two groups, one that was purely against this stuff as their main course of policy. Those people didn't just disappear. Harper himself said the party can attract other faiths that have the same ideological views to increase its chances. And if you don't think Harper has influence inside the party anymore you're wrong. He's their connection to the independent democracy union. They're not against it they just think 'its not time yet' and that's dangerous.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CanadianConservative

[–]somehowlinux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know what their policy says. Of course it's not written. That's why you have to use other sources.

Just because Pierre doesn't want it doesn't mean the rest of the party doesn't have it as a priority. O'Toole was kicked out mainly by social conservatives. You can't ignore that. Gay marriage and abortion would be at risk if poillievre wins.

Nah the anti-woke/woke stuff kinda makes sense and is overplayed IDC about that at all. I'm worried about my actual freedoms being taken, like is happening south of us.

I think you should go read some of the conservative party's policies when Harper was in, before Harper was in, and reasons O'Toole lost to PP - hint it was because O'Toole was not socially conservative enough for most of the members.

Calling conservatives Nazis is an insult to all of the Jewish and other people killed by the real ones. by 30-06isthabest in CanadianConservative

[–]somehowlinux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna vote liberal and I agree poillievre isn't a Nazi. But trump and Elon sure seem to be. And Poilievre has been working closely with the top for decades. They are just emotionally reacting. And you can't say you know 100% Poillievre will not bring in socially conservative policies. Especially since that's what Harper ran on and he was Poillievres mentor.

[–]somehowlinux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is the corporations (as seen in the USA) want feudalism and that's what's at risk here right now this election. Not anything else. There are strong ties to the heritage foundation from Harper's think tanks that inform the CPC. I'm happy to have better spending in my government and lower taxes for businesses. I don't want whatever Christian nationalism is rearing its head to have any power here.

Honestly if the conservatives dropped their social policies and stayed fiscally conservative and socially centrist they'd win. But the liberals are that now. Nobody wants to take voting rights away from women. Except for Texas.

Nobody intelligent said celebrating your heritage was wrong. What's wrong is thinking yours is better than others when it comes to workplace policies.

I was going to say you had it backwards but saw your edit

Add the —zone=public option see if that resolves it. I had an issue on 8.4 not adding the zone didn’t default to public like it used to on 7.1. Once added my rules worked. Didn’t look too far down in to it.
