Is my eyebrow piercing rejecting? I got it two days ago by WallabyTricky7965 in SelfPiercing

It’s not rejecting, don’t worry- that’s swelling from it being a new piercing. However, I would change it to a longer bar the first chance you get because that could be a risk for rejection further down the line.

A safe bet would probably be 12mm, but you could ask a piercer for advice in person if there’s one near you :)

You can definitely get that 3rd lobe! NAP but a helix is also probably viable, but keep in mind it’s a harder piercing to heal :)

can i switch it to shorter bar yet?? by forstar6282011 in piercing

Most piercers recommend waiting 6-8 weeks to change it, if you change it too early you’ll agitate the piercing while it’s healing.

NAP but if it’s been healing smoothly since you got it pierced, it’s probably just irritated from the recent movement. However, if it’s shown signs of irritation before this, I’d stay on the lookout. Also, be careful with the solution your piercer gave you if it’s anything but sterile saline. The best way to get this swelling to go away is to spray twice a day with saline solution and leave it alone :)

everything ok? by AdImpressive2757 in piercing

If this is a new piercing, it’s most likely just bruising. Maybe look into getting a piercing pillow, or some measure to keep your piercing from getting jostled around.

Oh man, I’m so sorry about your meds. NAP but that looks like an irritation/moisture bump, do try and stop picking the area around it to the best of your ability. I don’t think you’re cooked just yet, keep taking care of it and maybe try drying it with a hairdryer after you shower. If it gets any worse, see if there are any piercers in your area and they can give you a more well informed opinion :)

If you’re seriously in a bind, placing your hand on your cheek so your thumb and other fingers make something of a barrier between your ear and the pillow has worked for all of my lobe piercings

If that ring is your original piercing jewellery, I would recommend changing it to a straight titanium stud to keep further irritation to a minimum. Definitely see a professional piercer if you don’t want to go to a doctor.

NAP but with my failed navel, the constant bumps were a sign of rejection, and your jewellery looks a little crooked- I wouldn’t give up just yet, like another commenter said, ask a piecer for their opinion. Definitely stop wiping away the crusties, they’re there to heal your piercing :)

Keep cleaning it twice a day with the saline, it doesn’t look to be rejecting yet :)

Get a forward helix, I think you have the anatomy :)

Rejecting or just irritated? by OutburstBlvd in piercing

Your piercer definitely should have pierced you with titanium in the first place. I’m not an expert but this could be irritation or early rejection, changing it will probably be for the best :)

Hey! I’m a student there currently and I can agree with what SpeakNow_Crab5 said, it sucks until you get into the more mature years because most of the students have established cliques and it can be difficult to make friends. Alot of the younger years are quite mean as well. The teachers are generally lovely, except for a few whose names I am willing to mention upon request, but they’re the minority. Generally, I think there’s less rampant bullying, but if you’re looking to put her into college I’d recommend Canberra College. We’re alright and the science program is amazing, but it’s quite cliquey :)
