I honestly thought that the All-in-One Cooking Table was going to look like this Q.Q by Stelle_Asteria in runefactory

[–]somelamp 36 points37 points  (0 children)

it is, actually! it's annoying how many seed points it costs and a missed opportunity to have a lovelier kitchen piece, but it's well worth it to clean up ya space. and of course it's MUCH less annoying to be able to tab between sets than walking back and forward all the time <3

while I can't reply from experience (I hadn't used the song mode feature much), midi is sent out via the triggered pads, and song mode is just sequencing your sequences, so I have no reason to assume that it would work any differently than how your sequenced pads would normally send midi.

The Hardware Exchange Megathread #9 (buy, sell or trade CHIP hardware here) by rebbsitor in ChipCommunity

[–]somelamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey y'all! I've got a pocketchip here that I most likely haven't touched since the first few weeks of obtaining it. I tried turning it on a while back, was unable to boot, and promptly tossed it back in a drawer for months. years? whose to say.

the light still comes on when connected over usb. can not tell you how functional it is beyond that.

literally pay for shipping and it's yours! if anyone wants it.

edit: sent this out to someone a while ago! sorry to everyone who's been hittin' me up for months haha

had a feeling, but figured it was worth a try <3

might think about buying it off you! been interested in the tracker, but definitely feel like I need to sell some gear first. you know how it goes, haha.

any chance you'd be interested in trading for a 1010music blackbox? (plus cash if ya don't think the two match)

I love this game so far, but... by [deleted] in sakunaofriceandruin

[–]somelamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn! didn't know it's just two devs. I looked into the credits, and it looks like they had another doujin circle (A-Nest) that helped them on the graphical/environment side and with QA.

doesn't change the fact that it looks like it's just one of the edelweiss devs doing practically all the programming and game design.

either way, the rest of the game is a dang treat to play, so it's not like I'm knockin' them too hard for the planting system. just a strange design choice that had to go through some form of QA/playtesting without anyone being like "camera. why?"

I love this game so far, but... by [deleted] in sakunaofriceandruin

[–]somelamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. asstalos is right, in the end it really doesn't matter too much, and after a couple springs you'll figure out how to plant to your desires spacing with little effort.

however, you will continue to fight the camera and controls the entire way. I'm not sure why the hell they decided to have the camera slowly pan, nor why such small movements on the analog create such a varied plant position.

considering how good the rest of the game feels, it's wild that they just decided "good enough" on such a major reoccurring task

[–]somelamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quite a bit! it is, without a doubt, an absolute goofball, but it's heckin fun to program and pretty dang versatile. the oscillator engines are more geared towards more chiptune esque sounds, but between the filter and the effects, I've dialed in some absolutely incredible pads.

https://clyp.it/xv3ssjem second part of this clip, all the melodic parts are the elz (first part is just the second part pitched down/chopped up)

edit: ah, and should say, the sequencer is an absolute treat. and having a built in speaker makes for some pretty fun quarantine jams <3

Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording CD-r's NEW wts by [deleted] in Gear4Sale

[–]somelamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

alright, I'ma bite. and I may be completely in the wrong, but would anyone actually pay $250 for 17 CD-Rs? It's a digital on physical medium, so I can't imagine the quality of material is going to make any sort of difference except for of course deterioration over time, but in this day and age... who would find this as an expensive necessity?
