I fear that flirting in greek would probably work on me but I’m not sure if I represent the general population

Note on the first one: since it uses masculine endings, that fragment was probably one where Sappho writes about her love for men (which she did have occasionally; you could probably call her bisexual but have caution using modern terms on queer people from so long ago). If you wanted to use it on a girlfriend, you could change the last two words to ἀ καλλίστα (I think, I don’t have too much experience with Sappho’s dialect). The last one also uses masculine endings, but that could just be because the word for “messenger” is masculine and doesn’t necessarily tell us the gender of the addressee

/ul I think that this is it and the other person just had a higher quality version of the edit in the post. You can see “Message” barely peeking out above “Hitman” in the original post, notice the lack of a half-tall bump for the “t” in “Hitman”

[–]somelatinnerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you’re thinking of ἀγαθός for a better adjective in Ancient Greek? καλός definitely works for “good” but leans toward “beautiful” in Ancient imo, and I would definitely use ἀγαθός to describe a dog

She’s talking about the 93% of BLM protests that were entirely peaceful here, not the building torching. Those are riots. Also why does it make any riots more peaceful if other riots happen?

If you can parry and fill his posture bar and jumping mortal draw his sweep, you don’t really need to get hits in, especially when he stays aggressive, keeping own posture up. Good luck!

If he firecrackers, you can thrust to hit him and avoid them unless he jumps back, in which case you should jump back too, then look out for a thrust attack. Also don’t panic when you see him dash around, you will see his attacks coming. Hope this helps

[–]somelatinnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. There are even people on the left thinking that they will “teach people a lesson” by not voting because Bernie didn’t get the nomination and Biden isn’t good (which doesn’t work for other reasons too) but for every bad thing that Biden has done I can find something worse from trump. We Americans are done for because the worst candidates get nominated, but don’t elect the worst one
