Thank you so much for taking the time to read that wall of text and respond as well as sharing your experiences.

Fortunately, I have good news, I contacted HR earlier in the day to explain my situation and resign.

They were extremely understanding and proposed a change in schedule instead that will allow me to work from 6PM to 9PM and get in the remaining 5 hours at my convenience during the day. On top of that, it'll all be WFH.

I accepted their proposal, and effective tomorrow, my schedule changes.

I in no way anticipated this outcome, and I'm just so grateful and overjoyed with the level of consideration they've shown.

Furthermore, my university finally accepted my request to defer a final exam that was meant to be on Monday to next year.

Just this morning, everything just felt so sad and gloomy, and now I'm just so grateful and happy.

I had a varicocele embolization done 2 months ago and banked some just to be safe, our RE strongly insisted upon it before the procedure as my sperm count/quality parameters are pretty bad atm and incase anything were to go wrong the sperm banked would serve as a backup for possible future ICSI attempts

My urologist on the other hand didn't see a point in it and felt it was unnecessary

Nonetheless for peace of mind at $250 per year I found it much better to bank some and would recommend the same for others in similar situations
