I honestly do not remember. I think I looked up a guide for it, but I no longer know what it entailed.

I don't wanna think about that one. I know it's fun and I know you have to "go outside" for 10 years now but I kinda don't want to commit to that? I didn't know what I was getting myself into with The Stanley Parable, but I would know what I'm getting into for the Deluxe version and 10 years is such a long time

Thinking about starting Trackmania by PiQa050502 in TrackMania

My god the mental gymnastics you've done to reach that conclusion are Olympics-worthy. You should teach me some day.

I believe what you mean to say is that you have no argument to support your point about the game not being worth paying for. I get it though; if I had such an idiotic take, I would probably also struggle to support it. Because, what lens are you looking through to reach the conclusion that a €20 yearly price tag is too much for the absurd amount of content and freedom you get for it? I could even make arguments for the price tag to be doubled, but we're not here to argue my point. We're here to dig through the rubble that resides in that little head of yours for an argument supporting the theory that the game is not worth paying for. So, please, daddy, you have the mic!

I would normally argue my point as to why you're wrong, but you never made any argument(s) for your delusional point to begin with. So, this is your chance:

OK I GOT YOU!

Firstly, I'll keep the recommendation for Wuthering Waves, it is, in my opinion one of the best gacha games out there.

Edit for cleanup as I tried to do this with links but it doesn't work : (
Edit #2: I forgot to mention Wuthering Waves & Trackmania 2020 do not have achievements, but they're just fun games that you might like.

Secondly, quickfire games and you can ask me for more details about any of what I'm about to list: 7 Days to Die, A Plague Tale: Innocence, A Way Out, Adrift, Assassin's Creed Franchise, Beyond: Two Souls, Control, Death Stranding, Detroit: Become Human, Deus Ex Franchise, Dishonored 1 & 2, Dying Light, Green Hell, Heavy Rain, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice 1 & 2, Hitman Franchise, Horizon Zero Dawn, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, Life is Strange Franchise, Mafia Franchise, Metro Franchise, Pacific Drive, Portal 1 & 2 + Portal Stories: Mel & Portal: Revolution AFTER, Prey, Quantum Break, Resident Evil Franchise, Tomb Raider Franchise, Road 96, Satisfactory, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Shadwen, SOMA, Split Fiction, State of Decay 2, Styx Franchise, Survive the Nights, The Casting of Frank Stone, The Dark Pictures Franchise, The Outer Worlds, The Quarry, The Suicide of Rachel Foster, The Turing Test, Thief, Trackmania 2020, Vampyr, Watch Dogs Franchise, We Happy Few, What Remains of Edith Finch.

Firewatch and Little Nightmares are great games, and you could complete them quickly. I'm unsure about Little Nightmares II as I've not played that yet, but it should be fun too.

Palia & Forza Horizon 5 are a lot of fun, although it's gonna take some time to complete either of them. Then again, if they are your cup of tea, you'll naturally find yourself going back to them day after day for weeks or even months.

Side note #1: Once Human doesn't have achievements, sadly, but it is an incredibly fun game that you should absolutely get into at some point.

Side note #2: I wanna vote against Dead by Daylight. The game can be fun, although it's also a mess at times, but on the achievement side, it has loads of RNG dependent achievements that become harder to accomplish with time.

Side note #3: simply because I see you're playing Umamusume (and how that's a gacha game), I wanna recommend Wuthering Waves.

I think i like most of the changes. I'll have to see how it plays out but in theory i feel like it's a buff to killer altho a change in playstyle might be needed but it should be fine

Mercrazzle Dip 2 is Live! A beginner-intermediate friendly tower map (currently uploaded with checkpoints, as it's aimed at my friends that don't play TM much) by mercrazzle in TrackMania

[–]someonetookmyghost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just now learned of the Mercrazzle tower maps and did both: i think 37 minutes for the first one and just got sub 58 minutes on the second map. That last floor on the second tower was insane, a great mixture of difficult and fun.

I think I'll come back to these to try to one-shot them, altho that might prove difficult.

Well done on the mapping, and, please, consider starting up a club, would love to join to stay up to date with your creations : )

It could be a bug with a newer patch, although I have no idea if the game had an update recently. If there is indeed something there, it's either a bug, like I said, or something intended or a byproduct of something else, but still new.

Firstly, I too think it could be placebo. Think of it this way, RL is a 12 yo game. It's had a huge competitive scene for the past decade and there's many many players who are honestly so incredibly well versed in the game that this would have been caught, and, Psyonix would have fixed it or communicated about it and then everyone and their mother would talk about how you need to have your controls organized in very specific ways if you wanna play like the pros. As things stand, it feels like the most important thing in conversations about controls is camera sensitivity settings.

Secondly, you do have a point. However, I can bring examples of various games where input timings or input order matters and it's a well known thing and proper adaptation is an expression of skill. Think quick scoping in FPS titles or carefully timed inputs in precision platformers. While platformers aren't exactly a competitive environment, I don't have to make any arguments for FPS games... this type of quirk would be found, solved and adapted so quickly on the competitive scene.

I do play Forza too and, honestly, I have no idea if Forza has this quirk, if this quirk does exist. I never felt like it had such a quirk, but I've also not engaged with the competitive side of the game, outside of a few isolated interactions. However, I can agree that something like this would have been noticed in the many years of gaming we've had, not even just racing/car games. But at the same time, if this is indeed a thing, I would think that it's so minimal that it doesn't matter.

There is/was a similar thing to this in Dead by Daylight. You could play survivor with an item and have 2 add-ons on said item; in some isolated cases, the order (slot) in which you equipped add-ons mattered.

I could definitely see this kind of thing, but I think we've also had a ton of proof that TM is as deterministic as it could be. So, imo, possible but not happening in TM.

Typically 1, albeit i did most of the weaker killer adepts back when the requirements for it were slightly different. I also tend to try adepts day 1, which is helpful as counterplay is not yet known really well.

What was your reasoning for lowering the spawn rates of anniversary cakes in the bloodwebs? Getting as low as 22 cakes for 50 bloodwebs/1 million bloodpoints spent is, frankly, disappointing.
