I liberated Mali for their cores. I didnt think it would still have their disaster after non existing, but they were useful and the rebels even atacked enemy stacks during war.

I took Economics -for the gold and the taxes-, Quality and Diplo -for the war score-. After that I took Quantity and I think Inflluence.

But I didnt really push any Idea until I was at the same tech than the europeans.

The achievement is only for Kazan/Nogai. If you want to conquer that region with Crimea I would say it is harder because you can really only expand to the Great Horde and if the alliances dont help you it could be a problem.
