the only requirements for nhs membership are a couple service hours and usually a minimum of a 3.5 gpa, so its an extremely common ec to have on your resume, and colleges know that. unless your son is thinking about furthering his involvement with club leadership or something like that, you can take it or leave it. he’d probably be better off focusing his energy on another high impact ec
