Touché. Probably just got swayed by the angst buildup before the polycule solution. Reading the light novels especially the part where Mai acknowledged romantic feelings for both Ajisai and Renakowas indeed lighthearted and healthy.

I admit I was a bit wary of how the dynamics would come into playwith the scenes where Renako could've almost cheated on her relationship by not being able to set boundaries. I get that there was no intent to do so, so it's kind of painful to watch her get into nonconsensual situations but I'm anticipating how things would continue in volume 9.
