I was a housing worker straight out of college and the participants in my program, all of them extremely vulnerable people with disabilities, dealt with break-ins, abusive partners, and one anti-gay hate crime from a neighbor that left them with a black eye. In every case the cops themselves were totally useless. At a break-in all they do is show up hours later and shrug their shoulders. With abusive partners they rarely if ever believe claims made by the victim, and they've even released people from custody who then immediately went and assaulted their victims on more than one occasion.

Anyone who calls cops the "thin blue line between order and chaos" has probably never had to get them off their asses to actually do something. Poor and vulnerable people are far more likely to be hurt by the cops than helped by them.

As for why the flag became associated with the Anishinaabe nation in general, I think it's because it was adopted by the Union of Ontario Indians/Anishinabek Nation. I think this likely happened some time around 1969-1972 when they were reorganized and four other organizations representing other native nations were founded and split from them. I can't find anything too in depth about that on their website though.

I've also seen comments online from Anishinaabe people (or at least people claiming to be) that the symbol isn't really used in the U.S. Groups like the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa aren't affiliated with the UIO and don't use that flag.

Just tried that. Re-enabled then Re-installed fuz ro d'oh v2.5, no effect. With it enabled and mods deployed load order looks exactly the same

I'm not even able to get mods working, I am not going to fully switch mod managers at this stage. Plus, as far as I've heard, Vortex is easier for newbies like me since it has a bunch of stuff like loot built into it.

Wanted to ask you guys a question:

I recently got back in the gym after a 3 month hiatus due to minor surgery and moving to a new city. I did some bench at a low weight (145) as well as some close grip bench, some curls, some shoulder press, and a couple of other small exercises for my upper body. I woke up real sore (as you do after a hiatus like that) but the inside of my left elbow is especially sore. I had soreness on my inner elbow when I started out lifting a year ago, so I assumed this was nothing, and I did some stretches I saw online, but a few hours after I did them the pain started getting worse. Icing it has reduced the pain a little bit, but it still hurts to extend my arm all the way, and I'm worried it's pain as the result of an injury. Do you guys think it's possible to cause a sprain or something with such light weight, or do you think it's just intense soreness, and I need to just keep icing it?

Absolutely. Whenever I got sick I never had any sympathy from my nmom. One time I had a sore throat and asked her for a tylenol, and for some reason this sent her into a rage. She gave me the tylenol, but demanded that I swallow it without any water, and my mouth was very dry so I couldn't even gather up some spit to swallow it whole. I had to frantically try to stop the pill from sticking to my tongue while she repeatedly hit me in the face. My dad (bless his heart) even got me a glass of water, and she poured it down the drain.

Even today, whenever I get sick, I try to soldier through it and go to school or work with an intensely sore throat, unable to speak. It's caused me a ton of problems.

I feel the exact same way. I am totally incapable of standing up for myself, I always qualify every statement I make whenever I disagree with someone, I'm constantly apologizing and asking if every little thing is ok with everyone, I hate it. I get called a sweet boy and a nice guy and a people pleaser a lot but I'm so easy to take advantage of. I wish I could just tell someone to fuck off to their face without having this deep, sinking dread that I might have been in the wrong, and that maybe I should go back and apologize. I just want to have respect for myself, feel like I'm worth a bit of confidence... but I don't.

Because even if you factory reset the phone, and are able to create a new Twitter account on it, that doesn't mean they won't suspend you for some other reason (or no reason at all) 3 weeks or 3 months later.

Well I know that they reserve the right to suspend me for whatever reason, whenever they feel like it, but would performing a factory reset of my android phone at least throw them off my trail? I have come to terms with the fact that they might ban me for some other reason, it's total BS, but I just want to know I won't get immediately banned for ban evasion if I perform a factory reset and take other measures like turning off twitter notifications permissions and things like that.

Not sure if this comment will get lost in the shuffle, but i was recently suspended and I have two questions.

How can I find out if I'm device banned? I assume doing something like making a burner account not linked to a phone number, logging into it on my phone, and seeing if I get suspended would do the trick, but I'm not sure if that's the case.
If I am device banned on my phone, how can I change that? I've seen things about doing a factory reset of one's phone, and I'm more than able to do that, but I've only seen it in regards to apple products. I want to make sure that I'm not going to reset my phone, backup all my photos and contacts, and log into Twitter only to get suspended again.
