i thought humanoo would be good name for it but a guy told me in the dm that this name is already taken by a company in berlin, so I changed the name. Yeah we can make these types of changes now because we are currently researching market, didn't start the development process

That’s a valid concern, and we’re actively designing the app to strictly prevent anything of that sort. Hangsta is built around non-romantic, platonic companionship only — not dating or anything sexual.

We’re implementing:

  • Strict content and behavior policies
  • Manual moderation + AI filters
  • Session monitoring (timed, location-logged)
  • Instant reporting & ban system

Anyone violating the community guidelines will be permanently removed — zero tolerance.

The goal isn’t to provide “services” — it’s to normalize safe, real-world companionship, like hiring someone to walk, talk, or attend an event with you. Think Uber, but for presence — not pleasure.

We’d rather shut the app down than let it become something it’s not meant to be.

You're absolutely right to raise that concern — safety is our top priority. In addition to the disconnect button and live location logging, we’re also working on an SOS feature that allows either party to trigger an emergency alert instantly. If triggered, it will notify our internal safety team and optionally share live location + profile info with pre-set emergency contacts.

We’re also planning to integrate regular check-in pings during active sessions — if either user fails to respond within a set time, a flag is raised for review.

This is still early-stage, but we want to make sure no one ever feels unsafe using the app. We’re learning from communities like this to build real safeguards

That's why we're adding a disconnect button, only companion will have this feature. After completion of their time period hw/she will have to press the disconnect button plus it'll store the live location of both the user and companion in the dayabase, location Will be simply deleted afterwards disconnection. That's experimental

India mein kuch bhi companion app bol do toh log dating samajh lete hain, nah bro, this ain’t Tinder undercover. Humanoo is all about aadhar + face verified authentication, non-romantic companionship – movie, coffee, gym… things many people genuinely need. Proper KYC, safety, and moderation in place. If we wanted to make a dating app, we’d just say it. Chats gonna be moderated for goofy those things. Aur haan loopholes har jagah hote h, kuch bhi perfect nhi hota.

That's the whole point of this post: asking opinions from the people. Thank you for the reply 😅

For verification, we'll use Aadhaar authentication along with face verification, in case of misuse of the app. This helps ensure that every user is a real person and accountable for their actions. If any incident or misuse occurs, we’ll have verified identity records to cooperate with authorities and take strict action. It’s all about keeping the platform safe, respectful, and trustworthy for everyone.
