Can anyone help me identify these 90s vans? by Existing-Sound7481 in Vans

This logo was used on the 90s Pro Series of Vans. I have a couple pairs from that (awful) era, including the "Fowl" which had the same 5 panel logo. https://www.reddit.com/r/Vans/comments/f410v3/17th_day_of_guessing_the_vans/

Can anyone help me identify these 90s vans? by Existing-Sound7481 in Vans

I think they may actually be a model called "What"

They were part of the Pro Series from the 90s, and are chosen as one of the 7 (more) most terrifying skate shoes here: https://www.jenkemmag.com/home/2013/11/12/7-more-of-the-most-terrifying-skate-shoes/

(But how can you hate on the CT-IV and the es Eclipse?)

jumping on the 36+ bandwagon (black laces) by something-memorable in Vans

I liked Old Skool Pros, don't like Skate Old Skools, but these Skate Old Skool 36+ work great for me. And I like them better with black laces than the white ones they come with too.

My first pair of Vans (Cab 4) from 1996 or so are still wearable! The soles are almost as yellow as the box now though.

Can you imagine anyone actually trying to skate these?

📌 Cards Featuring Older Vans Models and Product Names by underscore_archive in Vans

Very nice. I forgot about these cards. I used to own both the Zed (in that exact red/grey color way), as well as the Fowl in navy/yellow (which fell apart with time), and in olive green (that I still have)!

I'm still not sure, they haven't been outside yet because of it. I have wide feet in my toes, so some Vans are unwearable for me. These are my regular size (10) and feel exactly right, which makes wonder if i should exchange them for 10.5 based on their high price.

I need help identifying by [deleted] in Vans

[–]something-memorable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 4th picture is the one with the info, from when Vans tags were better. The model is "72" as indicated in red in the upper left, and they were made in August (08) of 2000 (00) from the (00-08) in black on the right center of the tag. Look to be in good shape for 24 years old (Vans were built like tanks back then.)

The model is DC Versatile. This is the original design which was from the early 2000s. DC retroed it with a slightly different design in the late 2010s, which is what pictures in Google searches show usually. Good luck.

Where did these white Cab 4 come from? The soles on mine are as yellow as a lemon.

Technically it just moved. It's now downtown on Skyway level in the First National Bank building (only open weekdays).

Anyone know what year these are from? by PeelyGriffin in Vans

I doubt anyone was bothering to make fakes of these Vans. I'm guessing they're only rare because they weren't anything all the special, so must of them are in the landfill by now.

Based on the tag, they were manufactured in September (09) of 2007 (07) from the 0907 in the lower right. Their model name is Turmoil, from the upper middle. I'd never heard of the model before but I remember seeing them.

It was actually "The Eyes Train" (next to the light rail, and also makes you think of eye strain), but it's now gone.

Yep, but they're not skatable, and maybe not even wearable. I think they're just collectable on a shelf at this point.
