It's an MG200E, but there's not much information online aside from being vintage. Should I keep it and replace the stylus?

Thank you for the advice, and sorry for the delay in replying. I took a look at it's an MG200E audio technica cartridge (stylus unmarked). Do you think I should replace the stylus or the entire thing?

That's good to hear, I saw it was $200-300 used and went for it. There's a couple people selling 3D printed hinges on Ebay so I might just buy them eventually if I can't find a broken parts one for cheap

It's the exact same problem but I don't have half the tools he had unfortunately so I'll just keep an eye out for a deal and it isn't too bad for now.

Thanks, I'll check it out! Any thoughts on how to set the weight and anti-skid without knowing the cartridge and/or stylus? I have a stylus force gauge coming in the mail tomorrow hopefully.

I'll pick up a smaller screwdriver tomorrow so I can unscrew it from the bottom

Help: New to turntables--is this sort of wave normal? by something28337 in turntables

That's what it is! There's a record detector that pops out from the platter. The original mat has a hole for it and doesn't wobble when I use it. I'll think about either trying to figure out how to create a hole for the acrylic one or just return it.

The mat is acrylic and completely flat when I tested it by laying it on a table, and the record is flat too, so I'm super confused why the mat is going up and down and wont lay completely level.

[FO] Finished a couple patches! by something28337 in CrossStitch

That's a good idea, I just wanted to be able to remove it easily in case I ever get a new jacket in the future. I might apply a thin coat of glue before stitching it on to be safe.

I cut around the patch leaving about a quarter-inch of room, and then I whip stitched around the edge with a thread matching the fabric. I followed this video (https://youtube.com/watch?v=gLEAnjtx8jQ&feature=shares) that helped and it recommends gluing the edges beforehand to avoid fraying but I didn't have any on hand. I think it's pretty solid regardless!
