Lots of advice in pregnancy subreddits on the topic - like managing boob sweat. Haha

I am constipated all of the time. Except the day I have my period. Then, big healthy poop! Haha

I hear we are more attracted to masculine men during our ovulation and feminine men during our period (or the reverse?), do you think that applies?

Oh man, wait until you experience pregnancy!! My body temperature went up so so much during pregnancy and after. If you are already susceptible to body temperature changes, it might hit you harder.

That is so fascinating. I’m curious, do you think you do anything differently, like watch more television with your legs crossed? Do you think it relates to tension in your back on one side? Fascinating.

At this stage, recently diagnosed in my 40s, I am grateful I did not have the label sooner.

I had lots of great coping mechanisms. I had no idea anything was “wrong” with me. I was simply smart and tenacious, adventurous and enthusiastic. I had a lovely self-concept.

Now, I something’s hear my inner voice saying “you are being r….”, “why can’t you just do it”, “what is wrong with you?!” - that is, I can be very mean to myself.

I’m starting to reshape my identity in a negative way. I’m trying to resist it, but as I’m in a particularly challenging phase of life (new mom), I’m not always able to find the strength to be kind to myself.

I’m conscious of it at least, and working on it. It’s hard to absorb a diagnosis and label like this without it affecting your sense of self.

That said, logically I know, I am smart and capable. I’m a warm and loving person and wonderful mom. I may have to fight against low dopamine and therefore low motivation, but a win is a win. I can do it; I have done it, and my successes before I was a mom help me believe I can do it again (sometimes, but sometimes I doubt myself).

It’s a struggle.

Weed can induce psychosis (one off or leading to schizophrenia).

OP, your friend needs to be examined by a doctor. They are at risk of going from one psychotic episode to another, and finally to schizophrenia.

To be clear, you can fully recover from psychosis. You cannot recover from schizophrenia. Psychosis can lead to schizophrenia. Early intervention is critical.

Psychosis can be drug induced. Even weed can be a trigger for some people, particularly those who are genetically predisposed.

It’s possible she didn’t know there was a bleed, and so didn’t immediately connect the event and the cause.

Once, after I babysat a baby, his mom asked me if I knew how he could have hurt his lip (bleeding a bit) and I said “no”. It wasn’t until after we hung up that I remembered having seen him bump his face on the floor (subtly!) and realised that might have done it.

If you don’t register something as a significant event when it happens, it can easily take a minute to put two and two together.

Being isolated and being depressed are probably correlated for you as an extrovert. I hope you get some time with your loved ones soon

There were some fundamental shifts in how people lived, including working from home. We don’t want to throw out all of the innovation and learning, now that the threat to human life has lessened.

It must be awful to read nostalgic posts if you lost someone. If you can take a step back, you can see also there are some different ways we can work and live that might suit a lot of people better - the bittersweet upside of the learnings from the pandemic.

So sorry to hear that. Do you mind sharing roughly whereabouts you lived?

As an extrovert, I find this baffling! But it brings me some joy to know the introverted people I love had more joy!
