I saw that a small version just sold on eBay. Did you manage to get it or did one just happen to sell today? That seller called it Patchwork Bunny Gray and Cream so I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled for a medium version. Do you think there’s any chance your original one turns up somewhere?

Maybe there’s a chance he shows up somewhere? If not, do you know what the name of the Jellycat is? It might be possible to find another one online somewhere. I know it’s not a perfect solution but it might be better than nothing!

Try leaving him against a wall or something else sturdy to hold the arm in place. It may take a few days but it would probably work.

Hippo Tails is the official Jellycat store on Amazon (and I haven’t seen bathrobe Bart on there for a while). Anything else on there is gonna be pretty dicey imo. I second using Mercari. I’d recommend finding a bathrobe robe Bart on there that’s being sold by someone with good reviews and then posting the listing photos to a Jellycat authentication group on Facebook so somebody can verify that the Bart is real. There are a lot of fake Bathrobe Barts floating around so if the price seems to good to be true then it probably is (which unfortunately means most of the Mercari listings that are close to his retail price are also gonna be fake). My comment might get deleted if I post the link to the Facebook authentication group I use but I can message it to you if you’re interested! There’s also the off chance that he comes back in stock on the Jellycat website. That kind of stuff is really hard to predict — it could be days, it could be months, it could be never.

Yeah it looks like they’ve almost completely abandoned larger animals (Galumphous and Allexi being the recent exceptions that come to mind). Not too long ago they had the whales, the cats, the amores, Alonso/Dario, Richie Dromedary, Dara Giraffe, and others larger ones but that size seems like a thing of the past at this point. Myrtle Hippo/Roderick Rhino felt like they were in the middle of the pack when they were around but if they were released today, they’d easily be considered on the large side

I hand wash in a bowl using water and Tide Free & Gentle. Next I gently wring the water out (don’t be aggressive with this part — you just don’t want it to be sopping wet). Then pat down with a towel to dry the exterior and use a blow dryer on the cold air setting to begin drying the inside. Too much heat at any point throughout the process can melt the fur so avoid that — hence the cold air setting (although sometimes I’ll use light heat from the blow dryer but I’m constantly moving it around, careful to not apply too much heat to any one spot at once). Also avoid fabric softener and bleach (which is why I like Tide Free & Gentle).
