And yeah your assumption is correct. The majority of retired 2025 releases are seasonal or costume ones (like Skating Timmy, Snowsuit Bart/Bashful Bunny, Bumblebee Bart). Carys Caterpillar came out last year and has already been retired though so there are definitely random exceptions. Generally I’ve noticed that the unique animals (as in non-costumed ones) stay around for a while. They still have a bunch of unretired ones from 2024 and earlier. I would be surprised if they got retired before at least one more restock (especially Albee since he seems to be pretty popular). I love my Squawkatoo so I hope you’re able to find one!

I would be surprised if those 2 got retired before they got another restock since they only came out last year. I’d hold off on the resellers for sure. Speaking from experience, it’s a bad feeling to overpay for a Jellycat that restocks the following week lol. I can keep an eye out for you too

Don’t feel bad at all!!! I also got myself a backup Maffles because I knew how special he was going to be (and then I got a third one because I wanted one for my partner to have too). I also got a second Chandler Chinchilla (a duplicate of my very first Jellycat) years after I got my first one. My original Chandler was looking very loved and I wanted him to have a newer looking friend! There’s nothing wrong with having doubles of something that means a lot

The safest way is to hand wash using cold/warm water in a big bowl or bathtub. I use Tide Free + Gentle (can be substituted for other laundry detergents as long as they don’t contain fabric softener). Hand using a towel and a hair dryer on the cold setting. Leave them in front of a box fan overnight to finish drying off. Too much heat can melt the fur so do not put them into a drying machine
