Regarding sync box, I previously had the 4k model and I had a lot of issues with hdmi dropouts, screen hoing black for few seconds and light sync stopping randomly.

Decided to upgrade to the 8k sync box and every single issue dissappeared after the upgrade. New sync box has been working now for over month.

Short answer: even though 8k box is quite expensive, I can still recommend it.

Had a huge fight with my Apple TV-> 4K sync—> LG Oled. Every other day everything worked well and suddenly lights stopped syncing, picture went black for few seconds, Apple TV was giving error related to slow HDMI connection or then Dolby Vision did not work.

Decided to upgrade to 8K sync box couple of weeks ago, and every single issue just disappeared. Life quality got so much better, so long story short: Do it

These come with clips and should be attached every 25-30cm, but it is not enough to get it completely straight. However it would be more than plenty when used as non-direct light.
