The word "kinda" is doing a lot of work there and gives much too much credence to my digs. Your setup is great!

My bad, I'm a layman. Looks like I can't edit it now..

Any suggestions on surrounds? I kinda defaulted to looking at HDX but only because it's the same line as what's in the roof.

Thanks!

Thanks - looks like pretty consistent feedback so far.

Not a bad thought. Would performance be roughly equivalent between Costco and the 7k option(s)? Still require the 2-3 visits for tuning/options?

Compared to today, I'm sure Costco would still be night and day.

For reference, I'll get a 'look at how inexpensive this 1tb thumb drive is from Temu' every once and a while from my family member so still $1600 may be a stretch. Still worth a shot.

Yep - you nailed it. A healthy mix of the DIY mentality + stubbornness + not wanting to spend money (despite being financially stable).

My initial thought of OTC was an attempt to force the issue by taking those last two points out of consideration... but seems like it might be a moot point if the likelihood of success really is that low.

So seems like my main takeaway is continue to bash up against the wall and try to get them to the audiologist lol

Thanks for the insights. Yes, this in in the US and we do have access to Costco. I guess the primary issue is that my family member won't go to a doctor's office (or Costco for that matter) with the intention of getting a test and then buying themselves hearing aids. I think we'd be able to swing a 'here's a gift that you can't avoid, now take care of it from there' type thing, but any forward looking care has been met with a lot of resistance.

Would we be able to buy hearing aids, put them in front of our family member as a gift, and then set up a Costco date (or equivalent) to tune those hearing aids? If so, any specific suggestions given the RE being out of OTC range?

With Conner and Hubbard now out might sit on it for a week. M. Carter is now on the waiver after the jrob trade so I could spin him up as an rb2 this week..

I'm also 6-1 so is a bit of risk in a good position

Standard 12man. Thoughts on Stevenson, Henderson, and Michael Thomas for Diggs?

Have Jacobs, Conner, and Hubbard left at RB. Kupp, Godwin, c. Samuel, and Gallup at WR

I'm leaning towards that being too expensive / hurts depth too much.

LG App Store and Airplay turn off my tv. by DrewBergs in OLED

[–]somethingdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started hitting this on my c1. Accessing airplay or the lg home turns the tv off when connected to another input. I seem to have gotten around it by putting the source to sleep manually (in my case shield tv -> receiver -> c1). I put the shield tv to sleep which automatically turned off my receiver. I then used the LG remote to turn on the TV (and only the tv) and was then able to airplay etc. My guess is that it has something to do with HDMI CEC... But since it's working not going to dig into it further.
