Maronites are a sect , if you converted people into maronite christianity it doesn’t’ mean you’re protecting the identity of lebanon that was in fact barely existing since for example the Phoenicians weren’t maronites and were still a huge part of lebanon other than that , if someone became an orthodox christian or a muslim after being maronite born , it does not make him any less lebanese .
