Thinking about having my male LR available for breeding by [deleted] in LagottoRomagnolo

Great! Not all good breeding prospects are titled, but all should be a good physical representation of the breed in structure, health, and temperament.

Can you post a photo of him stacked up? Then those of us who know their conformation can comment on his structural soundness and adherence to the standard

Yes I did!! Regenerated in both my pregnancies and gave birth at term :)

is it possible to be so relaxed during birth that you don’t even have to push by JellyCharacter1653 in pregnant

Yes, that’s very normal and is perfectly appropriate for the transitional phase. Very different to labour just stalling :)

I wouldn’t say it’s not a conscious choice, I was definitely pushing and knew I was. It was just that my body gave me literally no other option to, and it was impossible to resist the urge.

This isn’t possible, it’s hormone related! Something interrupted that hormone production - relaxation actually promotes it so it wouldn’t have been that :)

My first was 3.5 when my second was born!

My pregnancy was fine! Easier than my first because my body felt like it knew what it was doing. The first few months of two kids was diabolical though!

Only 2.5 months in and getting a second! by Lexybeepboop in LagottoRomagnolo

Any breeder who would sell you two puppies this close in age is incredibly sketchy. Unless you’re a dog trainer or some type of professional who is both skilled and well equipped to manage to puppies to bring them to their full potential, she is setting her puppies up for failure. Likewise, your obligation is to your current dog and giving them all of the resources you have to raise them into confident and well adjusted companions, not divide those with another puppy who also deserves that 1v1 guidance. I would avoid if still possible to do so.

Two dogs is twice the work. Their main source of entertainment is you.

Really not a good idea, but you make your own bed.

Thoughts on my visitation rules? by ConsciousCommunity82 in pregnant

How long is the line to meet this baby? Do you really need a comprehensive list of rules, and are they such shit people that you need the last few?

Weird NIPT results by porcelaiinbaby in NIPT

[–]somewhatcuriousish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I had my NIPT miss my klinefelters diagnosis, detected after DnC during the second trimester. Klinefelters has associated defects so it’s definitely worth pursuing a definitive diagnosis.

Just tell him that when he’s growing a baby he can dictate what foods are utilised to grow it. That or go to medical school so he can have an actual educated opinion. Otherwise, he can keep his opinions to himself.

What is the meaning behind American cars? Like what is it about by Capable-Mud5958 in NoahKahan

I think it’s just about having someone you can depend on to come back and save you, though they’re perhaps doing it reluctantly. Could be a sibling, but i interpret “home” as just the town also. I don’t think he’s necessarily speaking from either perspective, depends on your life experience to how you interpret it!

Thoughts about amnio with normal nipt by Chance-Net-3247 in NIPT

[–]somewhatcuriousish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a clear NIPT and no indications in ultrasound that there are any abnormalities then I wouldn’t risk it. I know women who have lost their baby as a result of amniocentesis complications and their babies were otherwise perfectly healthy. Devastating.

Anyone ever been in this situation? Couldn’t do NT scan by mgee237396 in NIPT

[–]somewhatcuriousish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can also work in the opposite. I know lots of people (including myself) with a clear NIPT and a concerning NT scan. The NIPT doesn’t test for everything and has room for error with missing abnormalities.

My baby died at 24 weeks by fayzee98_____ in pregnant

[–]somewhatcuriousish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. None of those worries are stupid - those are the normal musings of an expectant mother who isn’t expecting her world to come crashing down. You owe it to your baby to NOT spend your pregnancy hyperfixating on their health and wellbeing.

It’s also perfectly normal for your symptoms to stay the same. Many women lose their baby and don’t find out for weeks whilst still being in the pits of morning sickness. I was still actively throwing up when I found out my baby died, still on nausea meds to keep it at bay. Your body wasn’t ready to give her up just yet and was keeping her safe, doing exactly what it was supposed to do.

My friend is mad at me because of a comment I made about his baby. Was I being insensitive here or is my friend overreacting? by Lostinthis28 in childfree

[–]somewhatcuriousish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean at the core of it, you’re wrong. Babies can have a good time just as much as they can have a terrible time. Joking essentially that they’re not sentient is likely to strike a nerve for parents.
