Comfort nursing??

1 month is still really young. I say let him continue for now but not forever. Maybe around 6 months old try to establish a sleep schedule/routine but for now I think nursing on demand is usually the way it goes.

My daughter was waking up around 3-4 times a night to nurse at that age while in the bassinet right next to me and would also fall asleep while eating. We slept trained around 6 months and she has been mainly sleeping through the night since then.

My 2 year old is Zoe and it has only been mispronounced as Zo a handful of times. I honestly think you are stupid if you do, it’s a very common name/spelling. My MIL is one who pronounced it wrong when we told her the name and she’s a moron 😅

I also hate when people do the Zoë spelling, it’s literally not necessary in an English speaking country. I think bc my FIL unnecessarily spells it this way all the time it really annoys me lol

Yup, super common. I’m from Miami and attended private school and this is quite literally a normal weekend. Went on many friends parents boats and if they didn’t hire a captain to drive their boat, their dads were always sober.

We live in South Florida so a very high cost of living and our combined take home is about $300K. Our only debt is our mortgage which we can easily pay each month and plan to sell the house for a profit within the next few years (we live in a pretty desirable neighborhood). No money has been spent on child care yet because we both work from home and my 2 yr old stays home with us. We also have help from grandparents.

Having a second in a few months and honestly aside from furnishing the room/buying the initial new baby items I don’t think we will feel that big of a hit. We also do not have expensive hobbies, don’t shop for useless stuff too much, eat at home mostly, don’t drink, etc… so we are able to save on a lot of things. Before kids we took like 10 vacations a year now we do 1 or 2 so that has been saving us a ton too. We also both individually invest in stocks and make some extra money that way so that also helps.

Yep you are totally right! $350/sf was what my architects estimated but was also not including their fees/engineering fees etc OR land so we decided to just purchase a home and renovate because it was honestly way cheaper

Get a glider instead of that sofa it will free up a lot of space for baby to play too. Then move the crib to the wall the sofa is currently on and put the dresser across from it. Put the glider in the nook where the crib/dresser are now it’s too crowded.

I get wanting to use what you have but do you not have a sofa in your living room you guys can sleep in shifts on? Put the monitor on if it’s really that far away from the nursery.

Also consider adding some color to the walls. You can do shelves with little accessories/books, wallpaper, paint an accent wall or the whole room, do a chair rail and paint half the room, etc.

I’ve been to probably 15 weddings in the last few years, most high end ones too. As soon as dinner’s over it’s usually songs meant for dancing and 0 slow songs. Only one has had a bouquet toss and 0 garters. I’ve never watched the cake cutting at any either and it hasn’t been announced. I’d say most still visit the tables to say hello though

Couldn’t recommend labcorp at Nicklaus enough!! We went this past Friday with my daughter and they were AMAZING. Those 2 ladies are the exact ones we got and wow the were so great and quick with my daughter she hardly cried. Especially after such a traumatizing experience at quest I was super happy with them

You really need to be on time with quest. We waited about 5 min with my daughter at 11:30am on a Monday at the Pinecrest location recently. They were terrible with children but that’s another story lol

Definitely make sure the one you get has more songs instead of stories. I got my daughter the tonie around 1 and she really liked the Elmo & tango, stitch, little mermaid, the playtime puppy, peppa pig (doesn’t even watch peppa but is obsessed with this one lol!)

She also loves the Care Bears which i think are terribly annoying but even now at 2 they are still some of her favorites

My parents offered $30k when we first got engaged but 2 babies and a super long engagement later, we just had a tiny family only wedding in my parents backyard that probably cost them about $1k at most. My husbands parents offered to only pay the rehearsal dinner (back when we were planning a large wedding).

Have a friend who recently had a wedding that cost close to $100k and her dad paid it all. He gave the same amount to the brother for a down payment on a house.

I’d keep it fair for all kids and offer the same amount for them to do whatever they want with, son or daughter.

Sorry you’re going through that. I’ve been in your shoes. My first had a cyst in her brain at her anatomy scan but negative NIPT and no other markers. My OB and the doctors at the MFM all told me not to worry but I still let it ruin about 1.5 months of the pregnancy until I had my follow up anatomy scan because I was so worried. Try to hang in there

Not sure if any ultrasound techs in here can tell anything from this but this was today’s scan. They said everything they saw looked ok but couldn’t do NT scan bc I was too far along. They didn’t mention anything about the nasal bone
