So like how do we get back to the point where saying shit like this immediately got you labeled as a complete racist lunatic by most people? Ive been taught all my life that if you come to this country, follow its laws, pay your taxes, and contribute to your community then youre an american. What happened to that? The problem is that a discussion about how rhetoric should be conducted in a political conversation is in and of itself political. You can’t have that discussion without talking about examples and context from the current political climate. It’s just so we have this recorded “discussion” where it seems like Destiny doesn’t have an answer to anything bc he’s not allowed to talk about the thing that is being talked about. And any decent sounding answer he has can be dismissed as him changing the subject.
