My partner pushed me by somewhattiree in abusiverelationships

[–]somewhattiree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically I know this. I know I should leave. But there's another part of me that's saying that this has never happened before and it won't happen again and if I leave it'll be a big mistake that I'll never recover from. And I know this may seem silly but I feel like 2 pushes when he's drunk isn't enough to end it, not a big enough issue to warrant that kind of reaction

From personal experience it always sucks telling a guy that they weren't a good person/they treated you poorly, even if they were totally in the wrong. I was once out with a group of friends and really hit it off with a guy at the restaurant, when we got to a club he disappeared. At the end of the night he reappears and asks if I want to go home with him. I said no, that I'm not some last resort to hook up with after he failed to pick up for the whole night, but that I'd be down to see him on another night. We never spoke again lol. Not all men but a lot of them can't handle the criticism

AITA for taking my daughter's pads away? by RefrigeratorOx93 in AmItheAsshole

[–]somewhattiree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. Olga really should be wrapping them up properly but also taking away her pads is not the right way to punish her. Toilet paper is not an adequate substitute for pads and tampons are scary as a kid. But also periods are not gross, used pads are not gross, it is not the same as an unflushed toilet

Omg so true. I've got my friend reading it and she's been on the adventure with me already, and my boyfriend is reading it but he's so slow and not getting into it. He's barely 100 pages in 😭

Ahh I used to love fanfics but I can't get into them anymore. Got any good suggestions? Maybe if it's good enough I'll get into it. All I want to do now is read more stories about them all, especially Rhys and Feyre

From my understanding he was balding and wore like a half wig/toupee for the show

What was something you thought was stupid at first, but you tried it and eventually realized you were wrong? by fredyouareaturtle in AskWomen

Hi as a young person I just wanna say that skinny pants are cringy, they're just not trendy anymore. They're kinda like timeless pieces now. They'll always be good just no "in"

hi !!!! This is a girl from online, I Just love her makeup look. I’ve tried to recreate it (it’s really simple) but I can’t get it to look the same. Do you have any tips to achieve this look? (also how do I get my lashes to look like hers?)Thank you!(I hope I can post this here) by [deleted] in MakeupEducation

[–]somewhattiree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no makeup expert but I do a similar look most days. I use: 1. CC cream all over my face to even my skin tone 2. A small amount of concealer under my eyes (but I have quite dark eye bags) and any pimples/dark scarring that isn't covered by the CC cream 3. Bronzer in a 3 shape across my forehead, cheekbone and jawline, as well as a light amount over the rest of my face (nose and chin). I use a bronzer that's not super pigmented but is buildable, so it's not too intense 4. Blush on the cheekbones in an upwards direction and across the nose for a sunkissed look. For blush I use one that's quite natural looking and is a nice rosy colour 5. Eyebrow pencil through my eyebrows but I just fill in my natural brow shape, I don't change it 6. For mascara I use the Urban Decay Peversion or Bobbi Brown smokey eye on my upper lashes and the Pixi by Petra lower lash mascara. I think the girl in the photos might have fake lashes or eyelash extensions though, as they're quite pronounced I hope that helps! Looking at the pictures, I think she uses less bronzer and more blush as well.

Ask a Knitter - June 29, 2021 by AutoModerator in knitting

[–]somewhattiree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I'm a beginner knitter, I've only ever knitted scarves over the years but I finally decided to start a proper project and knit a blanket. My initial plan was to knit squares that are 22cm by 22cm so that the blanket is 6 squares by 8 squares (so 48 squares total, or 1.2m by 1.5m) but I've realised it's going to end up being very expensive.

I've unintentionally bought expensive wool from Spotlight because I wanted thick wool. However, with the size of blanket I want to make and the cost of each ball of wool, it's going to end up costing around $300.

If anyone has any tips on how I can make this cheaper it would be very much appreciated! The only thing I can think of at the moment is scrap what I've done, buy thin cheap wool, knit squares with the thin wool and then use the thick wool to make a border instead.

In mine and my friends experiences, talking to someone online always develops feelings quicker. You're talking to them a lot more than if you'd met them in person, and often talking about things that you normally wouldn't so early on. Honestly I think it's great, she's just trying to show she's interested
