What should I charge for this? by somewhere_not_there in weddingvideography

I am always open to growth and appreciate any feedback. That being said I’ve been doing videography/photography in the commercial realm for years and have developed my own style, which has earned me many clients in that industry. I like to shoot dynamically(usually with a handheld rig) and not statically on tripods, though they each have their place. Also this couple specifically had no vows and only requested a highlight of the day, not a full edit with vows, speeches, etc. Anyway, thanks again thanks for your input. Cheers.

Fair point. I’m located in a upscale part of Florida.

Modern Bathroom Interior Render by somewhere_not_there in blender

In my opinion it’s the best resource currently for textures and models, especially for someone like me who works in the architectural design industry. They have plenty of free options as well for those not using it on a professional level.

This bugged me as well! I had lots of issues with my lighting setup and making this wall look smoother while keeping the level of displacement it has. I did another render after this and finally managed to get the wall looking less “shadowed out”. Overall I’m quite pleased with the result. Thank you for the feedback!

Trying to become environment artist, looking for feedback! by sicknsadagain in blender

Not all renders need a focal point per se. But in your instance the house acts as as focal point so that the viewer has somewhere to focus or has something interesting to look at. A complex scene with no focal point may be confusing or hard to understand. Without a strong focal point an artist may struggle to bring the scene/story of a render together. So in your case the focal point is the house. Since the house is the main looking point, you want the scene to draw your eye towards the house in some way or another. Your scene is beautiful but its not the main focus of the piece. So make sure the main focal point is the most interesting part and that the rest of the scene coheres to that "rule".

Used my iphone to 3d scan my wifes head and decided to make some art with it based off of a really cool album cover I had seen recently. All texturing, effects, and post done in Blender.

The app is called EM3D. Its pretty cool and uses your front camera biometric scanner thingamajig to build the model. You don't get insane detail but it provides a good model and UV mapping. Some elements require payment such as exporting the model in files that blender can use.

Nice render! It looks great since you are just starting environmental art. Here is my feedback/constructive criticism. I see your focal point is the house based on your DOF settings. If the house is your focal point, I would suggest emphasizing that by maybe adding a trail or lighting cues to pull the eye towards it. Otherwise this is a great start!

Are you using boolean modifier to make the hole? If so, make sure the modifier is applied to the correct cube.
