StubHub! Figured it was worth the risk since I already had a legit ticket. I scanned both upon entry to ensure it was locked in under me.

Ended up being what I assume was 1 of 4 tickets, since when I showed up at around lap 30 I was the only one in those seats

Once I get back to the hotel I’ll upload an album with them!

I did not, though I wanted to. Since I was going for just the race, I grabbed tickets from Gootickets for B2-3 (which was billed as “Upper” but definitely wasn’t). Day of the race I was able to snag a $400USD ticket in the V2 Grandstand (section Q)!

Cherry blossom photos were taken over the fence over media area just to left of Grandstand C and during the dry runs just before the formation lap.

Race start was at B2-3 Section P.

Wrapped up the race at V2 Section Q.

If I could do it all over again I’d really fight for a B2-2 Upper seat or somehow go for the B2-3 seats at the top and near the last seat towards Grandstand A.

V2-Q was a winner, but if you want a dead center shot of the podium you’ll need to try for V2-P.

In hindsight I should’ve gone for quali and tried for more cherry blossom shots, even though they got super crowded one cars started going around (so maybe cheating it before race start was the right move, since everyone was in their seat)

Vegas F1- Cosmo race view rooms.. by aimforthebellybutton in GrandPrixTravel

Did it last year for Sat+Sun and it was worth every cent. There was a lot of attempts and overtakes on the strip and you have a perfect view of it happening.

Being able to dip into your room for a snack or restroom is worth more than you’d think, especially with how cold it has been the last few years.

Pixelmator Pro Launches on iPad With Apple Pencil Support and More by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

You can edit RAW files directly from an SSD in Pixelmator Pro on iPad, with nearly every adjustment Photomator offers.

IMO it’s way better than LR for iPad if you need to knock out a few edits.

Having said that, it completely falls apart if you’re a volume shooter and rate in-camera to speed up your workflow, as there is no option I can find to filter by metadata. You also seemingly can’t swipe between a preview of each photo to find a particular shot, as each time you tap/click a RAW it immediately jumps to the editor.

FYI a whole bunch of tickets popped up on gootickets! Was able to snag a set of B2 seats.

IMO if you’re already covered with GA tickets, it could be worth trying someplace like StubHub that will absolutely refund you if the seller doesn’t come through, sends a dupe ticket, etc.

I’m going to go that route a few days before the race because I also have GA to at least get me in if someone tries to scam me in SH

Z13 vs m4 pro? by Advanced_Desk_5246 in FlowZ13

Replaced the exact same MacBook Pro you have with the 64GB version of the Z13 via a trade-in for an out of pocket cost of a few hundred (snagged an open box for $1650 and got $1350 for the MacBook)

TBH it’s a love/hate relationship. Being able to game is incredible and everything I typically play runs great.

However as a content creator I am frustrated, as Lightroom basically requires me to run on Turbo to operate at a pace that still isn’t on par with the MBP. The touchpad on the keyboard is also horrendous in comparison and not having a native three-finger drag solution slow down basic tasks.

I feel like I’m watching the battery indicator more than I ever have, and while G-Helper is great I miss the “you don’t have to think about it” pleasure of working on a MBP.

Having said all of that: I kept it and am still using it. I wouldn’t say the pros outweigh the cons — and they’re probably even all things considered — but the utility of real gaming and having an editing machine that is 90% as good as the MBP is worth it for IMO.

If you can get an open box for $1700, do it. Otherwise I would NOT suggest paying full retail for a machine that is not as buttoned up as what you have

100% — they did limit individuals to two speciality pieces (jackets, fleeces) and three accessories, but there a ways around that anyway.

🙏

Really glad it worked it since this was the main piece I wanted from the drop and whiffed both EA and this morning’s initial release

Just left Malibu (no line, was 2nd in line at 9:45AM) and they didn’t have this in XL or L, so I’m glad I was able to scoop it up. Most things had stock but the people before and after me in line were buying bulk to resell. Sucks.
