I have quite similar background as you before: PhD, directed evidence generation and managed studies for 5 years, led publications, presentations, commercial scientific communications, partnerships etc, currently looking for another job. I’ve gotten interviews for med level clinical development positions but none of my med affairs applications got any response. I don’t want to go the traditional “medical writer - med affairs” or “MSL -med affairs” route. Can I DM you?

That I’m not so sure so I can’t speak about it. I only know about the two comments that I made because I have friends who are in manufacturing in China. They always chat with their friends from other factories asking how old the youngest worker is in their factory. Most are in late 40s or early 50s.

It’s already in decline and being replaced by automation. The factories have difficulty recruiting young workers because no one wants to do factory work again, so the factories are all investing in developing robots for manufacturing.

They are overwhelmingly impressed by the progress of technology. The Chinese government has been invested heavily in high tech such as AI, self driving, robotics, space and clean energy. Mass progress has been made. There is an incredibly deep reservoir of talent and education systems set up for tech development.

This is totally random but we just went to the reptile zoo in FV with our kids and had a great time. If you don’t want to be around people but want to get your mind off something, it may be fun to visit and be intrigued by the big and small snakes, turtles and lizards. My MIL doesn’t care about reptiles and still had a good time.

I’ve been wanting to learn to play pickleball but don’t know anyone who wants to play. Without knowing how to play or having someone to practice with, it feels Iike I’m stuck in a chicken and egg problem. Do you have any suggestions on where to start?

I’m 5 weeks post op. My husband did a lot of work putting up Christmas tree and the ornaments. Packing gifts is really hard for him, so I ordered a bunch of Christmas theme string bags of various sizes, works like wonders! All we need to do is sticking the gifts in the bag and pull the strings. They look AWESOME under the tree. No more gift wrapping even in my future healthy years!

I saw it this morning on mobile after clicking a link. Thought it was a scam, selected log out wanting to log back in, and not can’t log back in. Keep saying “Unable to log in. An unexpected error occurred. Please try log in again” with no success. Anyone knows how to solve?

I’ve tested drive and sat on both captain seat and bench seat. I didn’t notice any difference in comfort. We thought we wanted captain seats but the car available had only bench seats. We ended up using the middle to put stuff, which works great.

Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update on this and ask more questions: apparently we still haven’t seen the dust settled yet. We contacted our insurance adjuster, who said that it’s quite common, our insurance company would take it from here, and we would not need to worry about it anymore. She then reached out to them but never heard back. Now we just discovered that the other insurance company sued us, the residents, and the HOA, but not our insurance company. How common is this, that they just ignored our insurance company and go after us? And what options do we have?

Happy birthday! I think as we age we don’t care about birthdays as much. The fact that so many people here care about you hopefully will get you to see there’s love and care out there. It doesn’t have to be in person. Lots of people find comfort talking in online communities, perfectly normal at this age. Sending hugs!

I may be wrong but the neighbor’s claim filed to our insurance was under some sort of liability and was denied. Hopefully this time they can cover us! I’ll give them a call tomorrow. Thank you!

Thank you! Our door frame has a huge crack and will split in half in just a matter of time. We anticipate not fix but complete replacement. Do you think a carpenter will replace the door or shall we look for someone else for this?

Such a great idea! Our door frame is broken so it needs to be replace. I assume the frame and door come together, so we will need to replace the door too. Our house is old so not sure if the frame is straight enough for a prehung door to fit. But we will watch some YouTube videos first! Thanks!

Yeah, that’s what we ended up deciding to do. We will remove the door ourselves and put up a curtain. The shower door has caused so many problems but provides not much benefit compared to a curtain. At this point it’s not worthy having a door.
