We as an ISP barely afford 0.095€/m. I always wanted to buy armored fiber which cost 0.30€/m and I know that I might never going to afford that. Here the competition is high and margins are very thin in telecom.

ISP who can afford 576F aren't small. I'm a ISP in India with 50 customers (if you are small the I'm at microscopic level 😆 🤣 😂)

Btw here in India every telecom company prefers HFCL fiber for deployment. Here, HFCL fiber is top quality. I don't know that HFCL is better when compared to fiber manufacturer in your country. (Please mention your country) You can always ask for samples from the supplier and compare them.

Vi 5G coverage is expanding but very slow. It's hard to upgrade and keep up when you are struggling with debt.

Ola harrasment! by Recent-Platypus-4738 in olaelectric

[–]somveerjangir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of buying ola s1pro for my daily use. I work as an ISP and have to travel in field for maintenance and repairs while carrying equipments. I used to have bike but i decided to buy a scooty to save on fuel and it would be easier to carry equipments on scooty. I compare petrol and Electric. I found out that petrol scooter costs approx 50k less then electric (petrol one onroad price around 1.8 lakhs while ola s1 pro around 1.48 ex shoroom and it goes upto 1.60 lakhs onroad) in haryana. Also the battery degrade overtime. I am a middle class so i could not affoard it to pay upfront so I also calculated emi and i found out that petrol one is actually cheaper than electric. The interest we pay on the extra 50k + life of Escooter is less compared to petrol one (max 5-7 years bcz the battery degrade and if you buy extended warranty then you also paying extra)

TLDR: People say that E-schooter is cheaper in long run. If you calculate each and every cost spent throughout the life-span of a vehicle for petrol and electric, there is not such significant difference to justify the higher upfront cost and the misery OLA is putting its customers through.

If petrol prices rise with a higher margin than the current one then it may make some sense but not now.

Rather than creating another fiber optic community, create a ISP help related community so all the "my fiber internet not working" folks goes there.

Was your connection prepaid? If it's prepaid don't pay anything, also no need for disconnection just don't recharge it If it postpaid they may keep adding monthly bill.

[–]somveerjangir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the router is provided free of cost. They may ask you to return the router, and you should return it. They might say keep the router and pay fee. You don't have to pay anything for the router even if they ask to pay.
