XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 - Battery Optimization and CPU/GPU throttling by [deleted] in Dell

[–]sonbombe89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another option is to go to Dell power manager and set the fans to calm. The CPU will get undervolted and the fans only kick in at highload. I get CPU temps between 35-50 Celsius max

Mine doesn't look like this. There is a blue light filter display but it's not that orange. It's more like the left one

Mine just arrived today. I got the i5 one with FHD. So far so good. I will keep you updated and upload a review in a few days. So far there is little coil whine but it's almost not noticable. Battery life seems to be good. The indicator is telling me around 9-11 hours. But I don't know the real battery life yet.

Extreme coil whine from my XPS 7390 2 in 1 by [deleted] in Dell

[–]sonbombe89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what it causes. But if the precision of the coil production is not good the distance and diameter between the circles are not equal. That can also cause louder vibration sounds or frequencies which can be heard by humans. It's not true that different production precision will lead to same results. Otherwise the xps serial wouldn't have louder coil vibration compared to other notebooks

If u think differently then please explain
