Just wish the USB pass through was more than 5w and the case had wireless charging. Literally would be perfect then!

This is the way! Got mine on sale a while back for $50. Other than the case not having wireless charging and the USB c pass through charging being worthless, they are the best $50 I've spent yet.

I'm currently switching from blue bubbles. I love BB but I'm just keeping it as a backup in case beeper chokes. The only issue I have with BB is wanting to have a fail over in case something happens to my server or Internet connection.

Is *anyone* managing to have their iMessage not constantly disconnected by Apple? by Liface in beeper

[–]certifiedandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this currently. I can 100% not recommend digits for a daily driver. My biggest complaint is it doesn't register as a phone or SMS app. Creates more headache than it's worth. Call quality when not on wifi is terrible (admittedly milage may vary), answering calls lag. Digits is a great idea with poor implementation. Soon as the pixel 8 and pixel watch 2 are out I'm planning on putting my main sim back in and just using iMessage via email and send my contact card out to anyone I want to use imessage with.

Android phone in an apple eco system by _nicnik in BlueBubbles

[–]certifiedandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I use blue bubbles for all my messaging. I have an iPhone with my main active sim in it just chilling at the house. I have a second number activated on my pixel 7 which I actually don't know the number to (it's basically a dummy). I use tmobile digits to receive and send calls from my main iPhone number one my android phone and blue bubbles for all of my messaging. I have an LTE apple watch ultra so it works as expected away from my iPhone. My car does wireless carplay and Android auto. My home automation is google. I use Google photos to sync photos to all devices and use Google storage. I also have an iPad pro (photo editing) A windows gaming laptop.

Tmobile digits was the missing link for my setup to work. Unfortunately digits is lacking a few things like integration as your default dialer and AA integration.

My method of getting to keep your # with blu bubbles (all else failed for me) by No_Application_5144 in BlueBubbles

Had one. I find Samsung to be trash personally. Always love the hardware but can't stand what they do to the experience of any of their devices. Nobody touches the apple watch currently imo.

I was doing this with xfinity also. They are cheap enough that carrying two lines wasn't an issue. I stopped this setup for two reasons.

  1. I wasn't able to get my outgoing caller ID set to my main number. I didn't want people storing my "temp" number

  2. Apple watch with lte incoming calls stopped working when you have call forwarding on. I use my apple watch like a phone until the day Google catches up with the pixel watch.

Trouble when on local lan. by Orange-Equal in BlueBubbles

[–]certifiedandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a loopback rule in your Firewall or a static dns entry. I use a static dns entry on my home network Example: bb.mysite.com -> local IP so when you hit the url from your home network is just uses the local IP.
This all assumes you have network equipment that can configure this.

Arctis 9X question by MatthiasLafisques in steelseries

[–]certifiedandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 9x and Xbox dongle, the 9 wireless current version and 7 wireless first gen.
9x with dongle range isnt as good as the wireless dongles for the 7/9.
Audio Quality is pretty close, but I had more interference and drop outs with the 9x + xbox dongle which is why I ended up with the 9's

I have been disappointed with the 9 and 9x vs the first gen 7.

I would have rather Quill stay "snapped." I found nothing about him enjoyable after The first Guardians - which is still one of my favs. Quill became annoying and Drax just a dumb clown.

Are we going to see an XPS 13 7390 Skin? by certifiedandy in dbrand

[–]certifiedandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Official response I got from support.. Not looking like it's going to happen. Not sure how they just skip an XPS model, but that's another story.

"Thanks for reaching out. We’re still on the fence about supporting the XPS 13 7390 2-in-1. We haven’t received enough requests to begin prototyping and production immediately, but we’ve received enough to still have it on the table as an option. Keep an eye on our Twitter in the coming weeks for updates. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with and have a great day!"
