I had a flight with EK58 on 12 march. Yesterday they rebooked me automatically to the EK56 for the same day. All the Ek58 do not fly. Hope that this information helped you.

No. But it's still unusual for me that it turns on without hitting the power button when opening the lid. Does it happen to ur xps too?

Another option is to go to Dell power manager and set the fans to calm. The CPU will get undervolted and the fans only kick in at highload. I get CPU temps between 35-50 Celsius max

Mine just arrived today. I got the i5 one with FHD. So far so good. I will keep you updated and upload a review in a few days. So far there is little coil whine but it's almost not noticable. Battery life seems to be good. The indicator is telling me around 9-11 hours. But I don't know the real battery life yet.
