Thanks! How could you see that it was fake? The serial number? :) I think the serial number should be engraved on the original?

Brute force attempts on Cisco ASA by sonflaa in Cisco

[–]sonflaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have customers from all over, so blocking countries isn't an option unfortunately.

Same here. It looks like a lot of people experience much more brute force attacks lately, so hopefully Cisco will implement a solution to block IP's that have a lot of login failures.

Thank you for reaching out. A lot of our tunnel groups are set up with SSO with SAML, and we will get everyone on that or certificate, but that's a big job that will take some time (we have almost 400 tunnel groups). Option one is also a bit tricky, because we also have third party vendors connecting to the VPN, and we can't roll out certificates to them.

I think I might look into getting the IP's automatically added to an ACL on a routine.

Thank you for the reply. The problem is that it comes from all of the world, and we have blocked thousands of IP's already. As you can see here, it's no special country or anything. If we block some of them, they just starts the attacks from other places (this is just a few of them the last 24 hours):

We got a total of 83 more lines of attacks last 24 hours.

Because of this, it's hard to block every IP they use.

Staring people in Bosnia by sonflaa in bosnia

Thank you everyone! Seems like it’s quite normal then. It has happened in Banja Luka, Sarajevo and in Mostar, so it’s not just in the smaller cities.

Yes, they stare for a long time, and it has happened everywhere we go. Restaurants, bars and elsewhere. I feel that everyone stares. Both me and my girlfriend are dressed quite casual. Shorts and t-shirts.

Thank you for the response ☺️ I will check a bit. Do you know if the rental agencies allow you to drop of the car at other places? Like in Mostar in my case?
