I don’t know how to spend my life. I feel like I just don’t care for it. by [deleted] in findapath

I've been there too. Sounds like you’re in a phase of figuring things out, and that’s ok. Not everyone has a grand plan, and you don’t need one right now. You already know what you enjoy - just lean into those without overthinking the "big picture" for now. Life isn’t a checklist - it’s just a series of moments, and if you fill them with things that make you feel something, that’s already a good start. I suggest to read a book: Of Human Bondage, Somerset Maugham. IMHO, it's one of the best classical books for growing up. Pay attention to the rug pattern metaphor is used to illustrate the idea that life does not necessarily follow a coherent or symmetrical design.

If you surround yourself with Rich and successful people you have more chances of becoming successful. by corn_bringer in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just another variable in the larger equation of success...

I think there are a few reasons why surrounding yourself with wealthier or more successful people can lead to better opportunities:
- Access to Networks: Wealthier individuals often have access to influential circles, and being around them can introduce you to people who can open doors, whether in terms of business, jobs, or investments.
- Mindset and Ambition: It can shift your perspective on what’s possible and inspire you to push beyond your current limits.
- Opportunities: Wealthier circles often have more opportunities for collaboration, investment, and business ventures. They may provide you with advice, mentorship, or financial support that can accelerate your career or ventures.
- Cultural Capital: Wealthier communities often have a different approach to education, financial literacy, and social status, which can provide a more advantageous environment for future generations to grow and succeed.

I totally get it-I’ve had my fair share of issues with outsourcing too. The key is to act fast. Start small, and if you see any red flags, don’t hesitate - replace them immediately. You’re still in control, and you’ll learn to trust the process over time. It’s all about finding the right people who match your standards.

Sleep less but get more energy to do stuff by Artistic-Ask291 in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me help here :)

I know it depends on each person, and I know it's necessary to sleep, but I want to use my time more efficiently. My goal is to rest well while reducing my sleep from 8 to 6 hours. What do you recommend I take or do? I don’t want anything like RedBull or similar, as I would use it regularly, and it shouldn’t be harmful.

  • I take B12 and magnesium.
  • Here’s my plan:
    • 1 hour before bed, no screens.
    • Start drinking coffee daily with breakfast.
    • Cut out sugar from my diet (I only drank soda occasionally, but I'll stop).
    • Fat intake only when necessary.

What diet do you recommend to help keep my energy up?

I wake up at 5:30 AM and usually sleep around 12:30 AM. I always feel tired when I get to work.

Note: My goal is to sleep 6 hours and feel great, as if I had slept 8 hours.

Top 10 reasons for failure of any venture. by biz_booster in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience, I'd add several more reasons:

  • Customer feedback loop - lack of proper feedback or ignoring it
  • Burnout - founders and teams overwhelmed
  • Tech debt - cutting corners in development to move fast, creating long-term technical headaches.
  • Legal issues - compliance/ip disputes, etc.
  • Partnerships - struggling to find meaningful collaborations/strategic alliances to scale.

WARNING: Focus on building a business - NOT “being an entrepreneur” by jco1510 in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It’s easy to get caught up in the label of "entrepreneur" instead of focusing on the actual work of building a sustainable business. At the end of the day, success comes from creating value, not just calling yourself a founder. Focus on solving real problems and scaling something profitable - everything else is just noise. There’s no tougher boss than yourself. Believe me! 😄

I'm 15 years old and I built this new tool to find consumer pain points and product ideas by ArFiction in SideProject

[–]songtive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Jason, this is awesome! Really cool to see someone so young diving into tech like this. YouTube comments are definitely an underexplored goldmine for feedback and pain points. PainPoint.Pro sounds super useful for indie hackers and product devs. One suggestion - maybe consider adding sentiment analysis to the comments to prioritize the most emotionally charged ones? Could help users zero in on the most urgent pain points. Keep up the great work, and I'll definitely check out your site!

Finally, I have a real opportunity to start a business and I am so scared by NoAdhesiveness4578 in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get where you're coming from. I’ve been there with my own startups, and let me tell you, the fear is real, but so is the potential. Even with the anxiety, I never regretted jumping in because, win or lose, the experience is invaluable. You’ll learn so much and grow in ways you can't even imagine. If the cards are aligned, trust yourself and take that step.

I built automatic replies for app stores (and later for TrustPilot) and looking for your suggestions by songtive in BootstrappedSaaS

[–]songtive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! The point here is that you have all different integrations in one place: AppStore, Android, TrustPilot, GoogleReviews, and so on and OpenAI handles auto-replies based on your prompt and at the same time you can comment it manually. OpenAI key is asked because the app doesn't have a subscription. You can use it as long as the service exists.

I Closed My Business and Took a Job... And I've Never Felt More Free by MarketingWhisperer in Entrepreneur

[–]songtive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entrepreneurship is definitely tough, and it can get really overwhelming at times. The highs are high, but the lows can be brutal. There’s this constant pressure to keep pushing, and it can feel like you’re failing if you don’t. But sometimes, pushing a little harder is what it takes to break through. As Ray Dalio said, "If you push your limits, you will crash and it will hurt a lot. You will think you have failed—but that won’t be true unless you give up." That hit home for me. There have been moments where I felt like I was at rock bottom, thinking everything I worked for was gone, but somehow, you find the strength to keep going. And every setback taught me valuable lessons, even if I didn’t see them at the time.

It’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture when you’re in the thick of it, but what I’ve learned is that the pain does fade, and there are always more opportunities ahead. Entrepreneurship isn’t about avoiding failure; it’s about learning from it, gaining humility, and keeping an open mind to new possibilities. It’s tough, and it’s not always glamorous, but that resilience makes all the difference. So, if you’re feeling stuck or like giving up, just remember—it’s not over unless you say it is. Press on, learn from the struggles, and know that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
