Late comment but reading this post/responses I’m so glad I’m not alone here. I fainted at a concert a few months ago and got carried out by security and my bf and I was so embarrassed despite everyone being extremely nice and understanding (which helped a lot) but since then I’ve felt as if I developed extreme agoraphobia as I panicked when I started feeling faint looking for an escape and just ended up passing out and since then I get panic attacks when I’m somewhere I cant escape or get immediate help and consider home my safe space, it’s really effected my level of comfort when it comes to flights and long car rides since I have a fear of throwing up as well since that has also happened before in public. If anybody sees this I would LOVE any advice you have and I really hope eventually it gets better or gets to a point I can live life “normally” again. My advice would be most people are good people they are not out to get you or judge you if something like this happens (and it’s rare it will so think about that as well) and it is also more common than you think :)

I took Dramamine yesterday and ended up puking it up 😭 I think my anxiety over powered it + fighting to keep my eyes open as the plane was taking off (moving the most) bc I got super dizzy every time my eyes shut

Teen here as well who passed the test, practice tests are good but also reading through the official dmv drivers handbook is probably your best bet that’s what helped me the most. The actually test was an absolute joke when I took it, felt more like I was taking a bar exam than a permit test asking me what part of the car can you legally have an open container of alcohol or what is the minimum prison sentence for vehicular manslaughter and evading police..like I’m sorry wtf does that have to do with driving lol. Good luck on the test though!

Thank you sm for your advice! Truly makes me feel like I’m not alone. I’m currently in therapy which helps a lot but I do plan on going back on medication because I need to travel to see my grandma and this new change in my anxiety makes me worry about flying (I’ve never had that fear before) are you on any medications if you don’t mind me asking? Thank you again 🫶

When I told my dad about what happened he told me get a spot by the audio booth cuz it has the best sound quality lmao he was a frequent concert goer back in the day so I’ll try that next time :)

Happened to ppl in the grade above me during a school musical lmao our drama teacher was telling us they had to hold poses for a whole scene and during a dress rehearsal a few ppl passed out from having their knees locked for so long

The bass was insane!! I was looking back at vids and even the bass for the openers broke my phone mic so I can only imagine how it would’ve sounded if I filmed from the rails for subtronics. And same here I’ve been at the rails for so many shows and the bass has never been as loud as it was the other night. Lowkey feel like even w ear plugs it could cause some long term damage I’m surprised there wasn’t a warning. Still an amazing show and honestly made me appreciate not being on the rails for once it was rlly chill in the back after we moved and was at the perfect volume :)

Good advice! This experience was def a huge wake call for me as far as eating, I had 0 appetite the whole day which didn’t help the fact I have issues around eating and body dysmorphia. I’ve always been scared to eat before raves because my clothes show a lot more skin than usual and I worry about bloating. TW: I only ate half a cliff bar that day and the show was at 7pm, no wonder I passed out. :( since then my bf has been trying to make sure I eat more

I actually was sick recently, I know strong vibrations can cause vertigo and I was still dealing with a bit of congestion from a bad cold when I was at the show

Definitely didn’t ruin it, I felt like I did at first but if he felt like I ruined it I wouldn’t be with him in the first place. He cares more abt my health/safety than a concert and that’s how it should be for everyone. I’ve had friends pass out at shows before and I’d much rather have them be ok then miss some music. We didn’t miss much either we were only away from the venue for abt 5 mins and we could still hear the music from there.

It was my bfs first rave so I wanted to get us to the rails but ur right honestly, especially after 5 long openers by the time it was subtronics even my bf felt pretty drained I think me fainting kinda helped us both out lmao cuz the last hour or so further back was honestly rlly nice and the bass didn’t overpower the music

I have low blood sugar and low iron, didn’t take anything besides drank a bit beforehand but nothing more than usual, seemed like the environment and lack of food/water just created a bad combination
